Update:-

It is clear from the poll that Nov 2-4 and Chikmagalur will be 2012 ISG2G. We are in touch with few resorts and will be posting all the details shortly.
Also, this year it will be round neck tshirt and no more confusion.

Once the stay food per head calculated, we will publish each location SPOC's bank details so that interested participants shall transfer money or give cash in person. Thus, we will have clear head count and help in further planning.

Happy to know that the New G2G planning is going on

It is really thrilling for me to join with kerala team and ride till Chikmagalur and back. But I am in Tentative list because my wife is carrying our second child for the past 6 months and I have to meet the Doctor's appointments for some test and all. If everything is ok then I will confirm before the closing date. Anyway all the best for our G2G

Chikmagalur has the largest concentration of coffee estates in Karnataka. Combined with that, there are a lot of scenic places with lush greenery around. May be comparable with vagamon/wayanad type of a place, but not as commercialised as Wayanad.

Can anyone confirm at what time is the flag off from Bangalore??? As Nov 2nd is a working day and the destination is around 250kms only do we need to start in the morning???
Sorry... I am very short of leaves hence asked

i guess B'lore team will ride only for 2 days ie, 3rd and 4th [still not sure] and 3 day plan is for other state members as distance is very long for them. in any case even B'lore team leave from here @ 6 am they can easily reach by 12pm [6 hour is more than enough to cover] and road condition is also superb

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Bglr team can ride on Saturday early morning.

@Phanikar - Can you please confirm this?

As far as this G2G is concerned,Nov 2nd is meant for traveling from the native to the destination. The whole of the Day 2(nov3) is meant to ride together in and around Chickmagalur and to interact with all the state people. I hope this is the agenda and FYI this was the agenda for last G2G also.

Paying cash in person would be the best idea I guess, in my humble opinion, but let's see how it unfolds.

Bangalore team will ride on 2nd morning. distance is not the criteria here. Just like last GTG(Munnar) the KL and CBE guys had hardly any distance to ride(much lesser than BLR-Chikmagalur), even then they arrived on the first day of the meet itself. It will be the same this time as well. Also few guys from Bangalore who have done this route earlier need to be there to guide the guys riding from KL and TN to reach the place. Also since its being held in KA, the ground work arrangements needs to be the responsibility of ours for which we have to be there. So it will be 3 days for people riding from all the areas.

Just in case you are not able to start from Bangalore on 2nd morning, you can leave by evening and meet the group by the same night.

Thanks @Phani for the clarification. Yes as Bglr team are hosting the G2G we need to be there before others arrive. Sorry for my foolish question.

@All: Anyone having the same leave issues, so that we can ride in the evening and join the team???
