@a.jayamohan pointed out, I'm concerned about KL riders joining the ride, without which it would be incomplete. I'm sure we could try working out the dates with consent of all the city reps. We haven't had anyone volunteering from KL yet. Swaroop, where are you?

I'm trying to list out the action items for this road trip:-
1. Consent and feasibility from all the city reps. (KA, TN, KL, MH) - Start date - Immediate - End date - 31st May.
2. Decide on the ride date.
3. Resort/Hotel - Reseach - Collect quotes based on 50 participants.
4. Cost workout.
5. T-Shirt designing.
6. Pre-ride.
7. Briefing before the ride.
Threats:-
1. Climate - Monsoon.
2. Offs/leaves.
3. Willingness


More indepth plan will follow in due course of time.

Previous Long riders of Kerala are now in bangalore, coimbatore and even abroad etc. Sawroop just competed a long ride to Arunachal a few days back. so dont know he is coming..Lijo is now at coimbatore. you can post the invitation in Cochin thread too. Most of the Trivandrum xBhpians are students...so I feel it is difficult for them to go a long ride for 2 days. Anyway I will ask in person

I'll be in any of the three participating states. So I'll join.
I suggest we start the poll for dates. Once finalized, it would be easier for members to confirm participation.

I am in if the Destination is Kodai, only thing that will affect will be the dates finalization...Ive spent quite sometime in Kodai, and I really love getting back there...All the best with the Planning, I will follow this thread for the updates . Cheers

So another interstate discussion.! Would loved to ride Kodai.! My suggestion is by Aug 2nd week.

This time too I will take responsibility for Kerala. Let's poll begins for destination and date.

This time I may be joining the Blore team for the pre ride and ride please keep this 2stroker in loop Phanikar saar this time also I will be riding my RX-135 ..... Also once the destinations and route is decided will join with the cbe team if the route is feasible will discuss about that later once everything is finalized

Hye ! Have seen the report of the last one, and would love to be there for it this time!

Anyone riding from Manglore/Udupi area? Don't see anyone posting. Will be following this thread and try and make it if I can! As dates are yet to be decided, lets wait and see!

^^+100, except that I do not request god; never been to any G2Gs but always read things post it - xbhp mag/online blogs & drowning into the river of sadness thinking where was I, how do they & stuff?? . LOL, happy to tumble upon this awzum thread at the right time. Now, this is one event, I am hellbent on attending despite all odds (dunno 'bout last moment crashes). Planning, logistics, accommodation etc. is up-to the think tanks of-course but if you get together at some place on Sundays or the likes for ideas & discussions, I am more than willing to lend my fluid-less brain. Sigh!!! I can be of some help atleast

The August 15th week is prime time for a lot of people to take off's for personal rides/family trips (I know I am ), so it *may* not be the ideal time to do this.

What's everyone's take on that?

Meghamalai is a little uncomfortable to reach within a day (For the Chennai guys), So lets fix the Destination as Kodai.

And in rains, Kodai has better roads to ride around.

Swaroop, good to have you here. August 2nd will be around 15th August and it's Public Holiday. Might be crowded everywhere. Also, as we decided, we will do Kodai this time. So that it's decent distance for KL riders too.

A small suggestion here. This goes to most of us here. We are rich during the first week of the month and can't say how we are placed during the rest of the month so being practical, why not we also consider doing around 1st week?

Boy oh Boy - Looks like I completely missed this thread . Anyways, Kodai is good destination and it wont be crowded in OFF season which starts from middle of July. But for me, any place , any date , I am IN !!!

I really want to join this one. If its in Aug/ Sep I am in! Kodai is a good destination for the G2G! Will be joining from Bangalore or Madras .

Ananths's idea of camping sounds fun! But we need consider the monsoons and look for places to camp.

This thread has brought me the memories of the very first ISG2G held at Yercaud during 2008
