                  Hi Guys,

                  I'm still finding out about the biker culture in India and wondered about this....

                  Bikers in the West tend to wear (cloth) patches on leathers, waistcoat (cut-offs) or jackets. Do they do so in India?

                  I had a bunch made to sell on ebay among other things but now my studies are taking up too much of my time to continue with that.

                  I have a good number of three types left and was thinking of bringing them to India to give to any xbhpers who want them in Delhi.

                  They are white on black and read;

                  Support your local bikers.

                  Loud Pipes Save Lives

                  and

                  FTW. (F**k The World or Forever Two Wheels) Interpret which ever way.

                  I'm not at home at the minute but I'll try to post some pics when I get back after the weekend.

                  If no one wants, then no probs. Looking forward to getting to Delhi!!

                              Hi Aryan,

                              There's no charge for them, they're free to any xbhper who's interested. I'll post pics after the weekend.

                              I arrive in Delhi on the 11th of March to start research with a group from Newcastle University on urban planning in Delhi.

                              I will hopefully be available to meet up on the 15th depending on the itinerary of the group I'm with but I'll definitely be around from the 21st/22nd till the 30th March to meet and if I get a bike rental sorted out, to ride. I must admit, that although I've been riding for years and in many different countries, riding in Delhi (traffic and massive numbers) fills me with a certain anxiety!! LOL. If it's a R.E. bike I rent, I MUST remember that the gears are on the RIGHT not the left!

                              I saw a couple of vids on Youtube (posted 2006??) of xbhpers riding in Delhi. There was a good sized crowd of you. Ace!!

                              • @Olias: Free!! That is not really done mate. Anyhow, you come down and let us meet. I am sure we would have some really good topic to discuss. And yes, riding in India (not only in Delhi) is a whole 'exercise' in iteself. But don't get so anxious, you'll surely get used to it in a couple of days or so (well, we hope so!). Cheers!
