Sorry about the short message service text lingo earlier. I was multi tasking, typing over here while sending out a short message service text.

I went to Lansdowne in Uttarakhand on the 25th returned on the 26th. Lansdowne is a beautiful place. Very few tourists. However I felt the roads to reach there is seventy% horrible and thirty% good for bikers. I went with friends in their innova, originally planned in an xtrail but its sound systems were redundant, so we chose the innova. Great car.

Anyways, about the 2nd oct, the idea is a wonderfully noble one.

However it wont satiate me as a rider not to mention as an xbhp rider that i am these days! I was hoping for a ride which is at least a couple of hundred miles away from Delhi!!

Anyone interested for a ride to Sariska or Jaipur or any other places this weekend?

My days in Delhi is beginning feel limited.

Hey !! Jay . This Sunday 25th only we planned to ride to Jaipur and meet other members at the Dhaba , but all changed at Mc D Manesar and we decided to take a detour towards Sariska-Alwar-Sohna-Gurgaon . Me , Zayn (pillion), Maddy enjoyed the ride on P220 & ZMA only .

Road to Sariska Reserve to Sohna is very bad , all gravel very less road . SOmeone can practise off -road on this stretch .
And Sariska Tiger reserve you can enter on Tues & Sat only , so plan accordingly .

On the way back touched Alwar city . Started at 3:30am in morning & return back to Gurgaon by 2pm in noon , 1 hrs wasted due to a non-existant punchure in Maddy's bike and Zayn P220 requiring constant top-up of air in rear tyre due to a nail already present in that and we both (heavy) were on it .


The best part was all the way I rode P220 and its a vry good touring bike indeed . Even after 200kms at a stretch , you just need to shake your " @#$ " so that the blood re-enters that region , & all is fine to go !!! I liked the capability of the fastest indian .

Quite a ride it was and 430+ kms appx round trip that Sunday all of that was unplanned route inside the Rajasthan territory in partial windy conditions , it was never so close to Aravalis Range .

Thank you very much for the heads up. I found it very useful. I was fantasizing a cruise at 80 kmph or higher. Clearly the roads leading to sariska will not allow that.

It seems Delhi is surrounded by shitty potty roads. When I used to ride away from Mumbai in various directions, I used to encounter some stretches of crap roads in the forms of a few pot holes and bumps strewn about. I used to think then that Delhi and its surrounding would be much better! Now I am certain that Maharashtra roads are much much better.

You guys should have mentioned you were doin such a ride, on xbhp before doin it. I would have cancelled the Lansdowne trip and joined you guys. Furthermore you could generated some intelligence about the regions you were going to ride through; through feedbacks and reviews from other riders with similar spirit.

Anyways I just realized, I cannot ride this weekend. I urgently need to haul ass back to navi mumbai and fill the examination forms before the college deems it late.

On 2nd thoughts, tentatively, any crazy insane lunatics interested in riding to mumbai this weekend?? [laughing out loud]

Jay , buddy at some points roads are almost similar to IOMTT , twisties , going up and down , curves , and country-side et all u need to relax & enjoy .
The ride to Siriska was just like that , we were going to do Jaipur to hav some Tea & Kachori , but thanks to Zayn , urged to take the left turn and we enjoyed Sunday likely .

It is for sure a place were we can have a mega ride in winter months and for sure it will keep us all busy biking & close to our Delhi .

Indian police image is repulsing due to rude untraind indisciplind corrupt constables

Hi guys

I had an incident today, in fact just a while back. Around 6pm.

I got stopped at a Delhi police picket in Dwarka sec-10 by the 3 constables present there. So I politely asked 'Sir kya baat hai?' They rudely demanded me to park the bike on the side, then they rudely demanded to see my documents. I duly gave them the packet with all documents, viz: License original, RC copy, insurance copy, PUC original.

Just for additional info, I live less than 100 meters away on the same road, these cheap bastards stopped me on. Further, I had just gone to buy some cigs, and to check air pressure from the petrol pump 50 meters away from my society; so i hadn't taken my helmet along. After doing this, my dad's friend's son saw me. So he asked me if I could drop him till the end of the road, which is 10-15 meters beyond the picket. I am like a big bro to him.

AS EXPECTED: The drama started on reaching the picket. First they saw my license and got a little disheartened as it was original. then they saw the insurance, PUC etc.. and finally my RC photocopy. Seeing the RC photocopy, the constable said 'photocopy is not valid', and rudely demanded to see the RC right there and then while pulling the keys from ignition. They were beginning to feel smarter and more confident.

I explained to them that the License needs to be original, however the RC can be a photocopy. Original license+ RC photocopy= acceptable! Then they were like 'you are going to teach us the rules and give us training'. Before I could answer them, they asked me where my helmet is. I told them home, while pointing my building out. They concluded that because i don't have the RC original and not wearing helmet, they will take me and the bike to the station.

Hi guys

By now I was irritated and had reached my submissive limit. So I was 'Oh bhai baat soonn! First of all I am a medical student, I am going to be a doctor in the future. Further my dad is a civil services official, and a lawyer by training. So talk politely and dont intimidate me, as you guys are law enforcement officers not a bunch of roadside goonda mawalis. Have respect for yourselves, then have respect for me, as I am a citizen of India. Additionally I am not guilty of anything till i am proven guilty.' Lol by this time i expected them to slap me and kick me, luckily they didn't do either. So I continued 'As for not wearing a helmet, I have only stepped out to check air pressure from there and i am going back there to my home. Further it is not in your jurisdiction to penalize me for helmet non-compliance, it is the traffic police's. Finally License+ RC duplicate is acceptable all over India.' I had lost my RC smart card once when I used travel everywhere with it, I was then told by RTO officials and traffic police officers that a photocopy is acceptable to us.

They still wont relent. I had called my dad in between, he was having a walk in a nearby park. So when he turned up, he blasted them for their impudence. At the end of which they were feeling pathetic and apologetic, and stammered 'Sir we would have let him go, after a while more'. Lol my dad blasted them again at that.

In conclusion, those Delhi Police Constables were bored and wanted some extra money. They thought they could entertain and amuse themselves, by making me sweat, plead and beg with them! LMAO. Like some sorta college ragging session. I had never submitted to ragging in my first year of college either.

Dear citizens of India, we all have the right to live with dignity. However THE INDIAN POLICE feels differently, especially for youngsters, because they think the average citizen is clueless about the law and can be harassed and terrorized!! A Change is long overdue.

I Duly Respect your Point here, Jay, However, If they are rude, That doesn't mean, you have to do the same way, Some one having Ego and Power in his head, behaves this way, Similarly, I could see your Behavior Quite similar to them. There was no need to be rude to them.

Also No where it is written to go on a bike without helmet even for 2 meter's. Whatever it is you should have the helmet. PERIOD.
Second, The Photocopy is only valid if it is Attested.

A similar incident happened with me yesterday late night a friend of mine and me wanted to have "Pan" at 12 in the night, So we took our helmets and Left the place, moving not more than 300 meters and we were stopped by the local police officer's.
I showed him RC, Insurance, PUC, DL and he was obviously dissappointed. Later he asked to take my helmet off as the Picture in DL was not clear.. (WTF, was it my fault), anyhow I stayed calm and took it off, He asked my name, my address, to whom was vehicle registered, registration address, after I gave all the answers, he was astound by my politeness at his not-so-wise-attitude to ask me all the details, lat but not the least he asked one of his Superior: "Sir, Inka naam 'Gupta' hai, gaadi kehte hai bhai k naam hai : 'Pandey', kya karein? " (, meri bua ne bhaag k shaadi kar li, kyunki pandey ji ameer they, my fault.) , he called up some number, and verified it was right or not. For he had to let me go off, and could not make a penny!

Where was he rude, btw?? Yes, it was fault of him for not wearing a helmet but the jurisdiction to prosecute him lies with Traffic Police & not normal thullas. Dude, these thullas are quite arrogant. I have always been asked for documents but they have been polite. But if they are rude then you tend to loose your cool. And if I have someone in th govt. in the higher up I will also show them what attitude means.

You know what... I am MORE interested in seeing you guys rather than F1. Not a very big fan of F1 actually :P I missed Chris Show TWICE (must do HARAKIRI actually for this) & this time too I can't watch you guys perform coz I will be stuck in office. Man, I so wanted to see you guys actually.

Please please please do a show later in Delhi & please schedule it in mid of month, please not during month end or beginning.
