A short photo walk through Asola Sanctuary..

17th Feb, 2013

I have been very lazy at catching up with old friends. After marriage, things become difficult to manage. Met Shivanshu, Rachit, Ravi bhaiya & Ady after a long time on one Saturday evening. So, decided to catch up with Sandeep. Called him up & fixed a meeting day i.e. Sunday the 17th Feb. There wasn't any plan as such. Since it was raining, we decided to go for a short drive in my car as he was carrying his expensive camera & I was carrying my humble Cannon. We were enjoying the ride through the Suraj Kund-Faridabad road when I noticed the Asola Sanctuary's gate to be open. I immediately took a U turn & enquired with the forest guard.Though Sunday & Saturday is holiday, after much negotiating, he let us in. Me & Sandeep decided to explore the area & the photos coming up will let you know how much we enjoyed. Delhi is seriously a great city. It's one of the few cities with forest cover. It's amazing to find such quiet place right within the hustle-bustle of a city...

Yes man.. the tour was awesome. Check today's Times of India. There is a piece on Asola & adjoining forests. There has been reports of Leopard sightings too. That day we say 3 jackals too. Planning to go again this Saturday / Sunday. You in? Mandhir & Sandeep may join too.
