Guys cross posting from Leh 2014 thread:
I have a brand new Spartan Helios (will use it for the first time in the ride). People are advising me against wearing a mesh jacket to leh for obvious reasons. Seems like even if I do multiple layers beneath the jacket and a raincoat on top of that, won't be enough to fight the cold(?) What I am looking is if someone (from Delhi) not riding to Leh woul want to exchange my Helios with a Textile(? or leather) jacket for the duration of the trip? I would return the same when I come back to Delhi. Or is there anyone from whom I can rent a jacket. I don't want to spend a bomb on a jacket I won't be using much. A mesh generally suffices in a tropical nation such as ours.

Guys, post reaching Delhi I would purchase engine oil and related stuff. Where in Delhi would I get oils, lubricants, etc. If possible, please share a GMaps pointer here. Understandably, I would prefer a cluster/zone of such shops rather than a single shop in some locality.

                  Thanks

                    • Urgenty needed: Yamaha Ray Z brake drum in Delhi

I'm from Aizawl, Mizoram, spending a few days in Delhi. My son called me from home saying that he needs the front brake drum for his Yamaha Ray Z scooter. The agent in Aizawl doesn't have the part and it seems that they have a reputation of having a lackadaisical attitude when it comes to providing their customers' needs, often keeping them waiting for months for spare parts.

The urgency part comes in because I have only one more day in Delhi, that is, June 20 (Friday). I'll really appreciate it if anyone could point me to a place where I can get the part.

I don't know Delhi very well, so please be as specific as possible. At present, I'm staying at Mizoram House in Vasant Vihar.

                          • Track in Delhi - ncr for riding fast

I am from delhi and very keen on improving my skills as a biker and testing my limits but testing of ones sills can prove fatal on roads.

So is there any Track / Place / Road / in Delhi - ncr where i can go over the weekend have fun and ride my bike lean into corners or even test my speeds.

BIC i think dont provide with that option except the track day they organise. What would be the approx cost if one is there?

if you want to improve your biking skill, then try your hand on offroading. Many "old" XBHP members still try to smell the dust somewhere in Chattarpur area. Chintu (c_sbk) Ravi bhai (Ravi Dalal) can help you
