Hello guys.
I have been a rather silent spectator of the site in general and this thread in particular. Planned at least thrice in last one month to shake the lazy me on sunday morning and be there, particularly when you peoples were planning to ride to old raos' dhaba.
But as it is, could never muster the courage to be just there and just like that. On a deeper introspection, i found that i wasnt' lazy but probably unsure on appearing there, not knowing anyone. However, the urge to connect with like minded people have been pushing me hard to come over.

So guys. Howz it to be: (as i said) just be there and just like that.

PS: Do i need to bring something to forge my entry and to crack the first interaction, may be like sweets or what.
On a serious note, what is the optimum time window to enjoy you guys company to the max.

I too was there for the first time in last meet. All are friendly and nothing much is required to start the interaction except your presence.. Do come whenever next meet happens..

Its the same in my case as well, only I know how much effort I put to bring my ass that early. And not knowing anyone is hardly a problem I guess, Yes it takes a little time or may be 2-3 meets for some one to catch others mind, that's it.

A kind of a optimum time is 9-12 on Sundays that too depends upon individuals personal stuff. Some day you may find only 2-3 or some day you may fine 15-20 or more and as it not a private place for those who are associated with Xbhp only, you may find other bikers boys eating or chatting there.

Regarding your offer of sweets, I don't think so anyone is going say no

PS - G2G's are prone in term of you can connect and meet many kind of more people usually. Meeting 4-5 people first time may not be that much fun, it depends upon individuals personality.

I think G2G's are good time to mingle with others....(sadly till now I have missed all). For when you reach the xbhp dhaba for new ones like us its a bit elusive. There will be groups but they would be too busy in their own things. I think the old guys should do something (i am not saying a welcome desk) that should be an ice-breaker for new junta.

But on a serious note, you guys are overthinking this! Just ride down there and meet people, find your clique and get comfortable. Introduce yourself and all the rest of the jazz!

This is not some formal event, where we have an initiation ritual in which the new joinees have to offer a blood sacrifice This is just a bunch of bikers meeting up at a spot where other like minded people congregate. As informal as it can get.

Though i feel like a hypocrite saying this, since Sunday morning is the only time during the entire week that i can go for a long ride. So i rarely go to the dhaba! I might not be there in person but in spirit Okay that line was cheesy but still!!!

Living in Mumbai from 3 years made me quite addictive to Sunday rides, specially in these months. But back to home and here I am in this thread and well luckily it's quite good weather in Delhi NCR also. 😬

If anyone riding tomorrow please tag me, msg me.
Or just share the idea of some location so that I ride alone?


Need something like 120-150km a side.
I'll be riding my Pulsar220.

I guess its a result of too many factors such as:
1. Only a few people who we interact with here comes there.
2. Of that few people the timings vary, so at a random point, even lesser people from here.
3. Of available there at any instant, nobody knows whom or who.

I know, i am good at making matters looks like very serious but then whats the fun without it.
BTW my lazy bum refused to get out again this sunday, so sweets i actually bought finished just an hour before.

Back to the problem:
I guess a planned setup something like a G2G or a group ride is better to break in the new people. Like the new RC guy in your outing to old raos. So guys, i am going to make it this time by 7-7.30 there and would remain there till 9 or so. Any body who may be expected please let us know, so i have an idea as to how many total figure i need to scan there, plus how many sweets i may need.
