Re: The Official Delhi Offline Meet(G2G) Thread
Thanks for the suggestion, but I meant to ask for suggestions for the night before I get to Delhi. My cousin stays at Ghaziabad so I'll stay with her while I'm there.Originally posted by prateek2210 View Post

Re: The Official Delhi Offline Meet(G2G) Thread
Try wheelstreet.. Have a conversation with them. They might provide bike according to your timings. I interacted with them once fir jalori ride but a friend was too helpful lending me his avenger 150. Didn't rent bike with them but they were quite helpful and understanding.Originally posted by razorBlades View PostHi guys, need some help regarding motorcycle rentals in Delhi. ikerZ sounds good and they have the motorcycles we need 2 himalayan and an avenger, but the issue is we will be arriving on 24th 11:30PM and they open only by 11AM the next day. Are there any places where we can rent somewhere late in the night or early morning?
If nothing worksout with them, can we hire the bikes for one extra day and ask them to deliver at some place?
appreciate your help.
Btw, we are riding to Dharmshala.

Re: The Official Delhi Offline Meet(G2G) Thread
Well, I'm not habituated to long distances but I've spent some long hours in the saddle and I know I'm somewhat ready for what's coming.Originally posted by The Monk View PostThe stretch between Baroda and Ahmedabad is an expressway now, motorcycles are not allowed on it. Bikes have to take the old highway. On the rest, you are free to ride.
Route should be Thane - Udaipur. Udaipur to Delhi. Assuming you are habituated to riding long distance. Hotels enroute are plenty. Hotels in bigger cities are generally more expensive.
Google maps is showing the route via Godhra. Don't know about that. I would suggest the tried and tested GQ stretch. Check this link - https://goo.gl/maps/frZ6FoFaTKx
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Also, depending when you are planning to do this ride, you will get fog. Currently, once you are around Ahmedabad, fog will play a major factor. Also since days are shorter you cannot start too early in the morning. And do not ride post dusk. Wherever you are, start searching for a place to stay around 4, so that within the next hour or so, you will be able to find a place to crash.
All the best and ride safe!
Thanks for the route suggestion! I've read on another post on xBhp that the route through Godhra is pretty good, but this post is dated about 3-4 years ago. [emoji14]
Well, I will be heading out at 4:30-5 a.m. from Thane and 6 a.m. from Udaipur respectively, provided all goes as planned! Would a pin-lock insert be of any help in the mornings and hills? I use an MT Blade so I could think of getting one. Post-dusk rides are a huge no-go on any day (except for a little city-roaming) as I do not wish to take too many risks and tire myself so excessively as to ruin the riding schedule for the following day. Better late than never, eh?
Thanks a lot for the information and the well wishes

Nota rant, but Delhi chapter should know this
It was high time that something like this was bound to happen.
For past few years, the increase in number of squids on dhabha lane has increased manifold. There were previous incidents of crashes and accidnets but no one paid any heed and in few days they were back to zero.
This message came to me as forward on facebook.
I am not being judgmental here, but we have seen the Hyosung being ridden at very high speed everytime I visited dhabha on Sunday mornings.
Dominar rider : Critical
Hyosung Rider : Broken bones, and shoulder
We have seen people doing stunts without any helmets, flybys of small to big bikes, drag races and what not. This all instigates other "kids" who are there for their leisure Sunday scooty rides to show off as well. I have many times stopped people in doing so, but they dont listen now.
Request from my end : if you are going there, and see something like this happening, stop them then and there, I did my part all these years, but failed may be you all can do it.
Our dhabha used to be so calm and soothing few years back. This is one of the reason why I have stopped going there now.
My wishes for the injured riders
PS : Request to people visiting there, avoid it for next few weeks as Police will screw everyone's happiness nowFare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Those dhabas used to be the Hog heaven for gentlemen who used to be there for discussing what drives them and what makes them so passionate about their bikes and them to be on it, i still remember some groups lent their support when Tsunami happened and went to ladakh when cloud burst ruined ladakh in 2010, deep down it really inspired me and i learnt what it means to be a true biker in all the right spirits. But the scene has changed drastically over the years, there are bikes and bikers coming from dont know where, to SHOW OFF their bikes and unruly stunts. This morning me and my girlfriend were sitting at a dhaba just right in front of Sahajyog mandir and minutes later a Bulleteer came crashing on our table....... and the BAD PART he was not even sorry for what he had done.
So yeah i appreciate your efforts, also i think some more people or groups should come forward to stop this non sense, after all it's a only sacred place in our city where we can meet and mingle with fellow riders.
Nice topic BTW!!Wandering re-establishes the original harmony which once existed between man and the universe...

Re: The Official Delhi Offline Meet(G2G) Thread
I agree with Prateek. I have also seen Hyosung riders riding fast on that Qutub Institutional Area road. The amount of squids coming to this place has increased in no time, kids tripling on the Activa, loud pipe bullets trying to blast your ear drums, people stunting on KTMs. I have also seen one guy popping wheelies on a Honda 1000 CB without an gears. It is not about you having a 150cc or 1000cc motorcycle but if you ride like a moron on the public roads, people will try to imitate you and such incidents are bound to happen. Good that now Police will take the charge of that place and no one will be allowed there.Last edited by [email protected]; 04-03-2017, 09:27 AM.Regards,

Police is not going to stop anyone bro, they came yesterday as well filed the report and gone. And cops cant stop everyone day & night, ultimately that road need something 24*7. I hope some authority will make some speed barkers there.Originally posted by [email protected] View PostI agree with Prateek.
