So guys the shape thats coming up is Garh Mukteswar. Who is willing to join this coming sunday. You may even suggest a better place which is agreeable to all as well.

Never the less we can plan a ride again for next Sunday, I want to go Dum Dama lake for sure

The Garh Mukteshwar road is in excellent condition! I went there just last week! The Kaanwar people would start arriving sometime in the first week of next month. So avoid taking the Nh24 or NH58 between say August 2 to August 14. Anytime before or after that it is perfectly fine!


Just in case you guys are riding towards Garhmukteshwar, start really early and see if you can catch the sunrise near Hapur. You'll love it. Also, to save time, you guys can keep Indraprastha Park Near sarai kale khan as your initial meeting point instead of the dhaba. Gharmukteshwar is a straight ride from there. You guys can have breakfast at Garhmukteshwar as poori-sabji at Raju sweets. There are various other options as well, including dhabas right on the highway.

Alternatively, you guys can go till Kuchesar Mud fort. It is a fort converted into a hotel/resort now, run by the same guys who run Neemrana Fort palace. Breakfast will be on the expensive side here, so call and inquire before leaving Hotel / Resort / Mudfort Kuchesar, Uttar Pradesh ( UP ) INDIA

Sorry guys this Sunday I can't make it early due to some work at home. I can come to Dhaba only at around 9 or so lets meet if anyone is coming to Dhaba.

Well. even i want to visit the dhaba. We may even replan to meet at dhaba first and go to someplace, may be damdama. The plan is still at the sketch board.

I have seen this road till hapur. Beyond that i m not sure.

It has been like that for a long time now. The problem area was the stretch between Babugarh Cantt just after Hapur and Garhmukteshwar where the construction work for flyovers was going on. All the flyovers are complete now, so the ride/drive is smooth all the way till Garhmukteshwar and beyond.

Also the main route of the kanwariyas is NH58, which remains closed during the peak days of kanwar season, hence all the traffic from meerut side towards Delhi is routed via the NH24. Hence it becomes problematic.

As per the guidelines issued by Ghaziabad police, the diversions this year would take place after 4th of next month, so till then Nh24 should be okay.

No the route you searched is right..here's the map for the same. And like i suggested, Millenium (indraprastha park) is the perfect spot to meet up for this ride instead of dhaba unless you really want to visit dhaba.

Once you are there, cross the Ganga bridge and immediately take the kaccha road on your right hand side (sort of a U-turn) this will let you go right till the banks of Ganga and would be a bit of offroadin as well.

Tentative plan as of now

Ride - Garh Mukteshwar
Meeting Time - 5.30 am (waiting time 30 mins)
Start time - 6.00 am
Meeting point - Indraprastha park at Sarai Kale Khan
Riders - Myself, Gautam, Shabi, AJ, Mehul, Rohit

Just make sure that whomsoever are riding have the following:

1. Helmet
2. Shoes
3. Riding Gear (Riding Gloves, Riding Jacket/knee elbow guard, Jeans/ Riding Pant).

Also all riders should be carrying -

1. RC of their motorcycle.
2. Insurance.
3. PUC

Sorry guys. I won't be able to make it. I have to be in my office (gurgaon) by 11 am on Sunday. In case you guys were planning something around gurgaon manesar side I would have worked something it. But you guys enjoy its a good route. And as sunilg said, leave early to be at the hapur bypass around 5 to enjoy sunrise. It's quite a sight.

So as the situation is, most of the riders have to be back in city by say 10 in morning (including me Damn office). In this situation, lets atleast meet up at dhaba and if suits push towards McD Manesar, which would be manageable for a lot of us.

Now the reworked strategy is to meet at 6.30 at dhaba and ride to McD Manesar. Four are already in including me. Who else want to come along.
