Introduction
The Pune xBhp group was formed in early 2009. What started off as a group of three eventually became a community of about 20+ bikers in just a few months. The group includes students, professionals and a lot of techies. The group is varied in nature and consists of cornering junkies, highway rippers, adventurers, tourers and stunters too.

Pune xBhpians mostly meet up during the weekends for rides and in the evenings on weekdays for casual G2Gs.

Most common meeting time for weekday G2Gs is around 8:00 PM and meeting points are:

1. Hotel Roopali, FC Road, Pune [Weekday casual meets]
2. MotoCafe, Aditya Shagun Mall, Chandni Chowk, Pune [MotoGP and F1 Races]

Most common meeting time for weekend rides is 5:00 AM and meeting point is:

1. Chandni Chowk, Pune

Pune xBhp also has a Google SMS Channel. Subscription is free and once subscribed, participants can stay in tune with activities and announcements. To subscribe, visit http://labs.google.co.in/smschannels...ribe/xBhp_Pune

For any ride, whether short or long, we advocate the usage of riding gear. No rider is allowed on weekend rides unless he/she complies with the following

Documents
a. Valid Driving License: MUST have and carry at all times
b. Bike Registration Papers: Original or Attested Photocopy
c. Bike Tax Certificate: Original or Attested Photocopy
d. Bike Insurance: Preferably a comprehensive insurance, personal insurance would be a plus.
e. PUC Certificate: A valid PUC certificate; especially if touring along with the group to pollution sensitive/monitored areas.

Safety Gear
a. Helmet: Has to be in good condition and preferably ISI/DOT certified
b. Thick Jacket/Riding Jacket: Must have inbuilt armour or external armour is also allowed
c. Gloves: Must cover vital points like knuckles and wrist. Cut/half gloves not allowed
d. Knee Guards: Either bionic or regular flex type. Should be worn inside trousers if non bionic.
e. Riding Boots/Sports Shoes/Army Boots: Anything that covers the foot well.
f. There is nothing that can better the protection of a full leather suit (if affordable). The preferred and most recommended piece of protection that your money can buy. Not compulsory though.

NOTE: Any member found flouting the rules will be warned once before being banned permanently

Myself and utsav had been to this place last year .Good place for a 2 day ride . But I feel certainly the rates of accomodation given there does not exactly match with what we were told . You can look for accomodation at kamath guest house in dandeli town and then travel across as you need. Some places you can visit certainly . . Syntheri Rocks, Kali Wildlife Sanctuary also I would suggest you to wander inside the forest roads, awesome twisties plus super duper enviroinment. But be safe !
Some tips,
1. Carry enough cash , only one or two ATMs in town and cant trust both of them .
2. Fuel whenever you get a chance ! No fuel outlets in between dandeli and khanapur stretch from belgaum to dandeli road.
3. Do have your dinner at shetty lunch home . . Cheap & Best food and drinks at nominal rates !

Are you heading to Anshi or staying at Dandeli itself? We had been to Anshi last year. No electricity, carry a flashlight. No mobile towers, save battery by switching off your cellphone if it is not BSNL. There is a Anshi Forest Reserve resort, food is good and priced at 1/3rd of Pune prices, tents are an awesome place to stay. Jungle safari / Treks are arranged on request. The stay is adventurous even if you do absolutely nothing.

thanks a lot for the assistance....the main plan is visit to anshi.... if i get company of abhijit then camping is 100% at anshi otherwise stay at the forest reserve or dandeli town....

Hi Sid,

I'm in. But as I said earlier, I'll only confirm few days before. Count me tentatively. But why we need to leave on 19th why not on 20th? Also I have 3 person tent so we can use that if there are any camping sites. But I suggest we stay there or nearby for 2 nights.

Hi sorry for the dates mistake.. the dates are 19th and 20th Nov as i will be reaching pune on 18th Nov and would need a day to get my bike ready as it is lying idle in parking since a month now...

Hi Shashvat, the best way would be to stay tuned in to this thread and look out for weekend ride announcements. Also try and store a few numbers on your cell phone for an offline confirmation.
