@utsav - we had kept the G2G last saturday and you reached at 10.30 pm when rest all had gone. So do you expect the presenter this time to start the topic at 10.30 pm?

I memory figures out that there was no gyan lectures/dinner planned in the last G2G except Bakar..Hence I finished my weekend work and then reached. I never mentioned my expectation buddy.

Someone can record the video and share with all those who cant attend.

a freudian thought -- You guys meet way too much with each other -- we here don't, so everyone adjusts & adapts to each other since it is the ride which needs to be enjoyed for everyone.

Just to share my viewpoint, why are we harping about technical discussions all the time? Its not that i hate technical discussions but lets face what has been happening everytime.
It goes ok for some time and then fizzes out.
Reason? We expect too much out of the discussions.
I mean, the presentations could be mostly hardcore technical related and presented by one brave individual. Which is quite a turnoff for the non technical guys or the ones who are not intrested in knowing why the piston goes up / down. Many ride just for the fun of it.

Maybe, in one of the discussions, we can have a discussion on bike maintainance tips or info about good mechs/why your mechanic is good. I mean stuff where group participation will be required.

If you will have to bring the lappy just for the presentation, you can use mine... I will come to the g2g directly from the office. So you can use mine..
Btw, i did not mean to say that tech g2g will not work. I meant that ensure the participation of every member and its surely gonna rock...

About the project : Implementation of artificial neural networks for performance analysis of an XD3P peugot engine. In simple words, making an engine think and take decisions.

Synopsis about the talk:
Engines are quiet a complex machine to deal with and have loads of features that can be explored. Some people try to tune engines for performance, some try to tune for optimal efficiency etc. There are various methodologies which are out there for help us analyze how this system works and interacts. One of them is artificial neural networks, its just like setting up an internal training system . Taking inputs from the engine, comparing it with the desired outputs and then interpolating the differences converging towards the final output which must be near the desired one. Developing a learning algorithm and implementing it and then see things go in vain but still not losing hope is all this talk is gonna be about.


What can I talk about :

1. How we got this idea and how we tried to implement it.
2. Hardships that we faced while dealing with our co-ordinators mahinda and mahindra
3. What would happen if engine had a brain actually ?
4. How we simulated the outcome and analyzed the results.

Modelling is something which i was always fascinated by!! So fascinated that i got a paper published in a national level journal on
"Fuzzy Logic control of Azeotropic Distillation column" when i was a fresh young bloke in college, inspite of my lack of intelligence

Even thou i know nada about engines, i would love to catch this up, a flight to catch on thursday early morning not withstanding.

I think JAKRAP has volunteered for that.

Just want to pour in some suggestion....
There is this place called Grubshup on beginning of canal road near SWAD restaurant....They have two side sitting, one inside and the other outside...
Well outside tables are always empty and they are around 8-10 tables with umbrellas if rain god is not happy...

I would like to suggest this as the place as it has border for sitting so that the presenter can have ample space to move and explain...Parking is also avaliable and in straight line, no worries for that...Place is also economical and close to roopali (incase we dont like the venue)...

I would suggest Vishwas sir, to inspect the place and let us know if its doable....since you stay near by....(proper directions, bang on the signal of swad restaurant, a share trading company is also located in the same building)

I have seen other forums having their meets here cz its easy to accomodate group members since their outside tables are most of the time empty...sitting is also ok ok types...

I agree with both the citizens above ! Having a tech discussion wasn't the idea but yeah if we are to have something like this again it sure will be cool. The reason why stuff like this dies out over a period of time is because stuff like this ceases to be fun after a while and starts to look more like work. I would rather wanna chill with my fellow rider brothers and have casual biking talks. I am in for whichever way it is done tho.

+100. It is really pointless. We will not be having any presentation in a formal setting and the quality of footage would be crap and if a guy is not bothered to attend a presentation (in which he is sooo interested), who would want to see it?

I have been to this place and this place has sufficient sitting space but no chance of finding bike parking. Also one should wonder why a great place at such a good location is empty at most of the times. Let's try this place out couple of times and decide.

Also I HATE last minute suggestions about date and place change. Why not suggest a change well in advance?

Thats alrite vishwas Sir, We can meet up at roopali today as decided and on the way back after the G2G check out this place..

The reason its empty cz i had mentioned in the first post as it has two side seating area....The inside area is occupied as AC sitting and all is present...The outside one is empty cz its in the open and most of crowd (teenage one) prefer sitting in AC and all...No other reason i found apart from this one.....

@ TenHut- Parking yes, there is enough back side of the restaurant which is allocated....also if its insufficient then Kalyan Bhel parkiing is near by which is safe....again the reverse side has enough place for accommodating bikes, cars in straight line if the Renault Fluence guy shows up!!
