Well there is only one solution. Reward in cash or kind!
Lets say you have a 20-30 minute session every g2g, there should be some reward for the guy who soughts to present the same. THe idea could be on anything related to motorcycle parts to ways to ride.

Lets say that he gets a free dinner, paid equally by the rest of the members in the G2G. Ultimately the risk on each of the other members would be 10-20 bucks which i believe is something everyone can contribute to. Lets call it the cover charge! If you forget to bring your cover charge, you can pay it as petrol

Any member can take up a topic and do a detailed analysis on the same and present before the group. Since there are automobile experts and noobs (like me) in the group, the noobs can always learn something or other and the experts can always chip in.

Now there can be situations.

1) Situation 1: Too many presenters.

There are a lot of guys who want the free lunch and there is a commotion to present. . We could do it on a random pick up of lots for each week.

2) Situation 2: Too less presenters.

If tHis fails to cut ice with most, we could randomly pick up some one from the group and allocate him the task. And it would be his duty to turn up and present the same to the group (subject to the persons availability). If he doesnt turn up or present, he would have the honors to pay for the entire group in the next G2G!! How abt that.

N.B. I know there is a loophole in this for Cash rich lazy bums who can get away by paying for the dinner. The world over, people with money often get their way. And since everyone is benefitting from the same, we would rather not worry!

Reading through the threads all the time . Well this G2G may be I can give a small talk on a project that I did during my engineering times. If you find the details quiet appetizing let me know I can go further with it.

About the project : Implementation of artificial neural networks for performance analysis of an XD3P peugot engine. In simple words, making an engine think and take decisions.

Synopsis about the talk:
Engines are quiet a complex machine to deal with and have loads of features that can be explored. Some people try to tune engines for performance, some try to tune for optimal efficiency etc. There are various methodologies which are out there for help us analyze how this system works and interacts. One of them is artificial neural networks, its just like setting up an internal training system . Taking inputs from the engine, comparing it with the desired outputs and then interpolating the differences converging towards the final output which must be near the desired one. Developing a learning algorithm and implementing it and then see things go in vain but still not losing hope is all this talk is gonna be about.


What can I talk about :

1. How we got this idea and how we tried to implement it.
2. Hardships that we faced while dealing with our co-ordinators mahinda and mahindra
3. What would happen if engine had a brain actually ?
4. How we simulated the outcome and analyzed the results.

Estimated time : 20-30 mins depending on how we interact

When : This G2G on wednesday

Any pre-requisites: Nothing , you need to know very basics of engine terminologies like power, tourque , piston etc And little bit of mathemtics too

But let me make one thing clear, this might not be much related to biking exactly but it might give you a little insight about how things work and how things change when we try to play with it.

I'm in for the G2G. If the venue is Roopali, it would not be a correct venue to have any discussion as it is extremely noisy. Maybe G2G Baba can suggest an alternate venue.

I suggest "Subway Banner", there are 4-5 tables outside, which can be occupied which are usually empty in the evening and we can have a quick Dehu Road dash after that ...

Atleast till last year people desisted to come to baner! So i doubt Baner!

Barista sounds well, but FC road is both noisy and distracting both for the bikes that zoom by and the birds that fly by.

Btw? Have we banned MotoCafe or something? Thats the BEST venue IMO!
