What about AMBY valley, is that plan too ?

The Plan is to go to Slope of Hell, this was the place which I thought of going from months, But yes the place is still kinda tentative itself... but a overnight ride this friday is confirmed for sure...So if the Amby Venue is going to stand out then might as well head there itself...

Bhai just bike uthani hai aur nikal padayche ahe... So, once riders are confirmed say by thursday max then the option according to preference will be decided.. but yes friday ratri nikalaycha ahe...

Go via goa. Avoid Karnataka interior roads as much as possible. At least the ones which are not NH. Rest you should be good to go. Do remember to fill a Tanker or 2 of petrol in Goa.

Edit: Karthik Pai was in goa practically a week back. He had gone via Kolhapur- Amboli and returned via NH17 totally. He should be the correct person to ask road conditions as of now.

Roads from Pune till dandeli are fantastic with little bit of bad patches post Khanapur in belgaum. But trust me, the roads from Dandeli to karwar are just pothole laden & not in good condition. BTW dandeli is fully dry now & until and unless you are wishing to do some activities out there(it costs a lot for activities) its really not worth a visit this season. . . Better take NH17 via tahmini . Even tahmini has got a makeover and there are little less bad patches now. But NH17 will definitely take the toll on fatigue if you are not much experienced in terms of curves . . My suggestion would be . .

Go via NH17 (Pune-->Tahmini (or) A stawberry shake at panchgani then to poladpur)-->NH17-->Chiplun-->Sawantwadi--> Goa-->Karwar

And while returning back . You can take any of the following roads.

Karwar-->Ankola-->Yellapur-->Hubli-->Belgaum-->Pune(Here you can plan to visit yana caves in sirsi & roads are in decent condition )

The above route would cost a bit extra in terms of kms but would be easily doable in one day if you leave early form karwar.

P.S I am stressing it again here that NH17 will take toll on fatigue due to the heat and the traffic , so until and unless you are an experienced tourer I do not recommend this route for doing solo. NH4 is boring but safe and sound for all the adventures

Why dont people just come down to a g2g and get it solved with all their doubts... Trust me Antz Pune is getting spoilt...

I tell you some members i know are scared of their ride being revved or being taken for a spin by other members... Samjha tu.
