Hi All,

I came across this video on you tude and this guy is talkin about some tweaks that he has made to this bike to improve the power output. Some "BAJAJ" unit he is referring to again and again .. I am sure that not Bajaj, but I am unable to understand that exact word. Could anyone have a look and explain what that thing could be.
I havent posted this on CBR forum as I might get irrelevant inputs. If you guys this that its better to move this query to there, I would do it.

Does any one know a good MRF store in Pune??
I have already approached the one in CC area and aundh, they do not have the tire i want.

Darshan tires do not stock MRF tires..

I want the front tire for my bike and its a tubeless, the same one used for a Pulsar 220.

MRF Zapper 90/90-17 Tubeless, The cost is Rs 1750...

No i do not wish to go for Pirelli or any other brand apart from the mentioned above.

There is a MRF showroom on Nagar road beside Michelin tyres at Ramwadi. Check there, had my 220's tyres changed from there.

Chain friction plate gone!

Hi guys,

I am writing from Rajkot. xBhp Ahmedabad was having its mega G2G today and I had planned to attend it.

I started at 0700h from home. It was cool and I made it to Darshan dhaba by 0800h when I heard a slight thud from underneath the bike and towards the left side. I stopped immediately and checked the bike thoroughly but nothing was amiss. Thinking that it must have been some small stone hitting the cowl, I started off again.

Now, I heard the chain slapping the swing arm, something which was totally new in my experience with the CBR. Again, I stopped immediately and checked the chain. To my horror, I found that the rubber friction plate had torn off and was stuck between the damper and the swing arm's right arm. I took it off and found that the swing arm itself had been abraded by the chain. That was the end of my trip to Ahmedabad for the G2G

Nursed the bike back to Rajkot and inspected it really properly. There was a fair amount of wear on two sections of the swing arm, though not so bad as to warrant a complete replacement.

The bike had just returned from a service and I am suspecting that the mechanic must have fingered this part while adjusting the chain (he had already reset the position of the gear lever without being asked to do so).

This is an odd problem, I wonder if any of us in the Pune chapter have had it.

The small lip ahead of the serrated portion is the actual plate surface, the serration has been caused by the chain abrading the rubber. Very, very strange..

Hi there ... I am not sure what issues are you concerned of as for me, the issue that I faced was a vibration coming out of the fairing, supposedly, which I have not been able to figure out yet, the source hence, I am living with it. But that comes only under high revs and engine braking when the RPM is a bit on the higher side.
Other than this, I have not faced any quality issues as such in my bike. If you have any specific doubt then could say on it.
Done 10000+ kms on it and I love it . Have used it for highway cruises and total offroadings, with and without pillion. Works like a Gem.
So IMO, its a great bike for your daily purposes and occasional long distance hauls. choice is yours...!!

I got my bke from Pashankar Auto. Went to them as they gave me my bike in minimum time and minimum hassle of paperwork. No particular star dealer here for Pune.n yah Pashankar also happens to be the HO of Honda dealership in Pune.

Yup got it! this looks like a straight traffic free route compared to the Goa one.

Took this route, on my way back from Sathodi falls in 2003.

If you are going on this road (from Dharwad), you got to be careful, as the turn off on the Dharwad-Hubli by pass is not well marked and there are couple of turn's off, on the bypass, with not many people around to ask for directions. (Ask for Yellapur in case of doubt).
The road back then was narrow and hence the traffic felt a bit high (due to narrow road), until you join Hubli - Yellapur road.

Just when you pass dharwad , keep your eye on the left for a turn around point to "Kalghatgi" , once you are on this road there should not be any issues with directions. There is decent sized board , but you can easily overshoot past it .
One small piece of advise , there are interceptors post dharwad route. Do not overspeed as they will fine 300 bucks for sure. Especially near that high court area ..
