Sir Are you coming for the G2G ?
See, if you put pressure on the ASC chaps, they are likely to do a shoddy job or not do the job at all. But if you give them sufficient time and elbow room, they too can check the bike thoroughly and work without an anxious owner breathing down their necks. Plus, it gives you more ammunition if they botch up issues.

I shall try to be there albeit for a very short duration.

A most beautiful photo. Almost like an aurora in the tropics LOL.

Would you mind if I copied it and used it as my current wallpaper; my daughter wants to try her hand at replicating it with crayons and water colour.

      Thanks in advance.

@eshan - i checked the issue you told about water seeping in your shoes, and i think remove mudguard wont be of much help in your case, but making mods to the tyre hugger can be relieve for you, as mudguard removal can pose a problem for people riding behind you and i think its a offence too

Since when making mods to the tyre hugger is an offence? What if your bike does not have it in the first place? Does that make the bike itself offensive?

On serious note, is there anything we can do to our helmet visors so that it does not retain water droplets on it/or they roll down? Has anyone tried anything in this matter?

Any and every change of any stock part or component or sub-assembly or assembly of a stock bike is officially illegal IF it is not certified by the DMV and RTO as being allowed. The said mod is then mentioned on the registration book/smart card of the bike. A simple change like removal of the saree guard is an illegal one as every single bike (no including step thrus here) is mandated to be fitted with a saree guard on the left side. Angel eyes, non-standard clip-ons, removal of/mod to exhaust like slip-ons etc etc is ALL illegal. Even fitment of any part to aid in safety/hygiene is illegal WITHOUT prior DMV and RTO clearance.

Hope this clears the air. 99% of the time, the traffic cops do not take cogizance as a)they may be ignorant of the rule and/or b) there are other more serious offenders to book and milk

The Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 relating to Alternation in Motor vehicles reads as - ( http://www.tn.gov.in/sta/mvact1988.pdf )

Alteration in motor vehicle. - (1) No owner of a motor vehicle shall so alter the vehicle that the particulars contained in the certificate of registration are at variance with those originally specified by the manufacturer :

Provided that where the owner of a motor vehicle makes modification of the engine, or any part thereof of a vehicle for facilitating its operation by different type of fuel or source of energy including battery, compressed natural gas, solar power, liquid petroleum gas or any other fuel or source of energy, by fitment of a conversion kit, such modification shall be carried out subject to such conditions as may be prescribed

Here we can see that the modification is not permitted provided it is related to engine or power system.

The act further clarifies as -

                    (1) No owner of a motor vehicle shall so alter the vehicle that the particulars contained in the certificate of registration are no longer accurate, unless.-
                    (a) he has given notice to the registering authority within whose jurisdiction he has the residence or the place of business where the vehicle is normally kept, as the case may be of the alteration he proposes to make; and
                    (b) he has obtained the approval of that registering authority to make such alteration.

Provided that it shall not be necessary to obtain such approval for making any change in the unladen weight of the motor vehicle consequent on the addition or removal of fittings or accessories, if such change does not exceed two per cent. of the weight entered in the certificate of registration

It clearly specifies that if the modification is for addition or removal of fitting or accessories provided the modification does not cross 2% of weight of vehicle. If we assume a bike's weight at 150 kg, you can safely modify it upto 3 kg without any issue.
