AFAIK YamaLube is nothing but repacked Motul.
Switch to SS or FS is a personal choice.
Changing Chain+Sprocket AFTER the rain is a good idea. How much did they last btw?

Finding anything in Pune - why not try foursquare, twitter etc

I have been using SS all these times. But just was inquisitive to know how would switching to FS increase engine performance. Somebody said moi that once you switch to FS you cannot revert to SS and vice versa.

I have completed around 14.5K on the stock chain sprocket which was factory fitted. Planning to install a 15 tooth in front sprocket for top end and stock in rear with chain. But with rains around I dont think this is a good idea now. What do you suggest?

Twitter and Foursquare are good for social networking.They are more of a geek people than bikers. Trust me you won't find anything substanial on twitter or Foursquare for bikes.

Never heard about this, I have gone from FS to Mineral as well (thanks to a piston seizure.) From what little I know about your riding style I would say FS\SS doesnt make a lot of difference. FS are not great for short sprints for home to office. It will last for 8k KMs!

Stick to stock setup till warranty, then start experimenting.

I installed a 16T front sprocket, the bike does 127 in 4 gear now and the 5th has become too tall and it actually reduces the range and gets me back to 135ish. Having said that I like this as a touring setup where I can cruise on 105+ on 4th

I have a 15T waiting with me... will experiment with it.

Anyone wants a 16T? Do ping me!

Already out from warranty... so wanting to experiment now. Not exactly died but yeah the sprockets look tired now. Also during my last visit to svc, the fellow out there did advice me to change it.That was around 11.5k. And now its 14.5k. I guess I can wait for rains to get over and then think about this again.

Just in case you have any idea about petronas/motul FS or SS , do lemme know.

Stick to stock setup for now, and munch some miles, time the sprocket change with the chain change (mind you its not cheap either)

Keep it, you will need it for top ups...

And that is precisely the reason I want to sell it off. Contrary to the word, I found Motul 5100 to be as good or slightly worse than my 5000 kms + ran MINERAL oil....

I dont know whether its Motuls fault or my bikes incapability and hence I want to try out something different in Semi Synth..!
