    1. Make the induction into xbhp "by invitation only" (like Gmail in the beginning) in order to maintain exclusivity, create awareness/ hype

    2. Most of the new riders / joiner wont have all the required safety gear viz. jackets, knee gaurds etc. so can a package / source information be shared / sold to new members (As the tenured members would know the best stuff and the best places to buy the best stuff)

This all information is given to all of the new riders once they attend the G2G or come on rides, even when i joined i was unaware of the armour or the shops where one can procure it but the senior members helped me out.

        1) if one goes through xbhp.com threads and posts or google he can find all the info regarding safety gear and their availability. senior members can certainly help.
2)may be mods can help abt "by invitation" thing personally i dont feel any need of susch thing..

Entry by invitation VS Any bike any one?
This is not an underground clan or something to restrict membership.... the idea is to gracefully accept new members, teach them finer aspects of biking and make a substantial impact in the biking community of India. Its more like a community service for self....

Arey the chain and sprockets are still the factory fitted ones.I havent done any changes yet. YamahaSVC guys have asked me to get the old one replaced ASAP. The chain slacks at a particular point and is too tight at some points. Moreover the Sprocket too looks weared out.SVC peeps have expressed that the chain is in a position to snap anytime if exposed to extensive strain. Stock sprockets and chain are outta stock with the dealers. I have already done 15700 kms with the current chain sprockets.

Well the problem I guess is more towards FZ16's design. The chain and sprockets in this are open and more vurnerable to water and dust.... other bikes have those area mostly covered so they might have sustained upto 30K kms.

                  • Hi again guys...thanks for all the help . A special thanks to Rohit and Ritwik for letting me in on XBHP Pune, and Vishwas-(i heard i would be using your equipment ) and I'm looking forward to meet the rest of you and learning how I can be a better rider (I'm 18 and just got my first bike, so dunno how to ride that well ). And I'll try get my gear asap, can someone please tell what is 'absolutely compulsory' for rides so that i procure that stuff first (I've read the first page rules but I'll try to get the important stuff earlier). thanks.

I have a FZ16 with me for my dispossal if you forgot.... That 30K claim is for another FZ I know off!

Heck as far as design is concerned, R15, RTR both also has the similar design... its a habit of maintaining it thats makes it lasts longer.
My R15 chain sprocket died @ 22K KMs with a LOT of riding and a LOT of bad road riding! Santoosh on R15 thread had his sprockets till some 3X KMs!

Anyway, not trying to force anything on you, but from what I saw the last time when you asked the same thing, the chain seemed just fine!

PS: Have you ran out of all the tension level points for the chain? @15k its very unlikely!

                              • I dont know where to get it from... the Astars one is too expensive, Cramster doesnt list it anymore... so looks like I have ran out of options!
