Its nothing new, Nashik highway has been notorious regarding such incidents for a long time now...!

It's not that safe even in day time. Especially if you are riding alone. A scary incident took place some days ago with one of the Mumbai xBhpians when a duo on Unicorn tried to snatch this fella's laptop bag while riding on Nasik highway. If I remember correctly this fella was on a Fastest Indian() and hence managed to speed away and was saved.

PS: The roads are absolute brilliant though. Reached home today evening from Nasik. Kasara has become ONE OF THE BEST cornering places near Mumbai.

This news very surprise to me, My wife native is Nasik and we frequently travel on my R15 (previously on Gladiator) but I never happened or heard before.

@all riders for the weekend trips: all the best and have a gr8 freakin ride. my left toe nail has suffered tissue trauma and i cant wear a shoe at the moment.. also i got no gear to speak of. will some1 be kind enuf to ride with me to kothrud to get some knee guards on some weekend? pleej?

Seriously lavasa aint about cornering or riding fast for 90% of the ride time..its just another of those motorcycling flavours that you may want to have for breakfast more often than not. Also riding through the twisties in a group and seeing the ones ahead of you have a dominoe fall into the turn and then glance over the RVM to see the riders behind you taking the jump into the corner right after you did, is a super cool feeling.

I know that feeling so well!! The other day, me and 2 friends from office headed for Lavasa and the scene was exactly like you described... like synchorinised swimmers going round and round .. tilting to this side and to the other side.. exactly looking like a domino effect in play :sigh: wow! we couldn't stop talking about it for like a week!

@ s_and_m - hows your leg now, to reach vir da dhaba come to university circle, and than ask for the pashan road and follow till chandni chowk, on the right side you will see a restaurant called moto cafe, get down and join us before 7.30 for vir da dhaba

If i missed something seniors please add.

@ g2g baba- i think if everyone reaches at moto cafe and gives the contribution money to you directly it will be better instead of collecting the money at the last moment.

About the sunday route.... the Varandha ghat crossing will be at night right? ... its kinda darngerous around the rainy season.
