A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.
Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

nicely written....... but the best line goes in bold.......Originally posted by Anup Abraham View Post@niranjan: What has gotten into you that there are such huge post's...riding gear or no riding gear...riding the bike safely is more important. Responsible people will behave responsibly and the not so once...should not be entertained the next time around.
All these 10 yrs of touring...its only in 2008 that i got my riding jacket and a set of riding gears...does that mean that i met with accidents all the other years....
I am not here to debate on any topic...I understand your emotions that you want a safe G2G with no accidents. Nobody wants to spend their weekends at the doctor nursing someone else's injury.
Hopefully all are listening to what you have to say and atleast wear some injury resistant clothes.
I love this Pune thread
how did u do it....... I'll change mine also.......Originally posted by Devilpulsarian View PostAnd how about this.....

I would like to believe the meet was a successful one. We got a chance to speak to Rockrz and explain to him the motive behind the safety guidelines. We also discussed how new xbhp members like him, who don't have the basic safety gear required for our rides and are saving up to buy one, can borrow it from other xbhpians who are not planning to ride on that particular weekend. All they need to do is ask fellow xbhpians in advance by either approaching them personally or posting their need on the forum. And the seniors are always here to help if newbies need any further information on which gear to get, how much does it cost, so on and so forth.Watch my Baby R1 clock 148kmph at http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=cAHbYl...e=channel_page.

why cant we plan something like a newbie intro ride with few experienced riders.. also with a session on how important riding gears are and do's and dont's on a xbhp ride and stuff.. not far but a little outside the city for the first time, like an introduction ride wherein people without riding gears can also join in and the next one being to a destination with mandatory basic riding gearsOriginally posted by SAGARR_46 View PostI would like to believe the meet was a successful one. Edit: Induction is a nice idea, remember we had thought of doing a night ride plan for the MotoGP meet thing? That meet faded and everything along with it faded too!
Lets do it soon!Last edited by satyenpoojary; 05-21-2010, 04:30 PM.Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

Yeah we can defi do that. To be honest, we have a small chat with all new members from Pune joining us for a ride for the first time and fill them in on the basics like taking it easy, riding at a pace they are comfortable with, ensuring them that even if the group disintegrates while riding, the front runners will stop after every few kms to ensure everyone has caught up.Originally posted by razorBlades View Postwhy cant we plan something like a newbie intro ride with few experienced riders.. also with a session on how important riding gears are and do's and dont's on a xbhp ride and stuff.. not far but a little outside the city for the first time, like an introduction ride wherein people without riding gears can also join in and the next one being to a destination with mandatory basic riding gears

Yes, this is the right way to influence new xbhpean on about safety and riding gear. When I saw the racing suite wear by Sagar on lavasa G2G, I was eagerly looking the racing suite thereafter; even I already have the mash jacket and gloves.Originally posted by SAGARR_46 View PostI would like to believe the meet was a successful one. yeah we mostly do that..Originally posted by darkknight View Postdon't we do that at all rides which include unknown elements???
known people - it's a different ball game alltogether

actually got very sad after hearing balaji who was with us when we started from BKC and went to kalyan without knowing the route since people were racing with time for some reason inside mumbai city.. we were in lonavala and he called me asking for directions to come from kalyan and it was disheartening to tell him to go back home since it was too late for him to catch us up

Even I was not sure of the route which the leaders are going and i kept up with them so that i dont get lost
PS: Pune ppl sorry for hacking your thread.. will try to stop
