PLAN - Leave by 9th evening (a Night Ride, yes! I love it)

reach by 10th afternoon, Chill-out, Enjoy the Sunset, eat, drink (I luv this part), Sleep...

11th - Get up early n trek to the Lake and rest depending at what time we come back.

12th - Leave by 6 AM & reach Mumbai by 4 PM max.

I said get an RTR or an R15 for the track because these are track bikes first. One could get a pulsar or a karizma because they fit in the 150cc bracket but that would be exploiting the rule and more importantly getting along these bikes will not let you learn anything of what they are gonna teach you at the track.
I am not sure if I have understood what you were asking me so I am not sure if my reply is superflous !

My guess of what you were asking was the same yeah. Like said, karizma and pulsar are not the bikes to learn track riding on. I dont know why karizma isnt...i have never ridden it at the track., I just think it isnt because I have heard ppl say it isnt...maybe someone else can asnwer this.
But the pulsar 220 i did ride at the track and its like a ping pong ball which is bouncing all the time and all over the road all the time. It utterly lacks any sort of chasis or suspensison. Try the RTR back to back with a P220. You will know why the RTR is a track bike first.

I was not expecting such a negative reply from you dude regards to the pulsar and if there is a on pulsar and zma than even the rtr can be also the same on the track apart from the R15.

Pulsar sucks big time when it comes to cornering ala track riding...
It sways to Himesh Reshammiyas tunes as soon as it is thrown into a corner at anything which could be called as 'not crawling'.....

RTR is THE most potent track tool!
R15 is a different league altogether...

The problem with Karizma is not the chasis. Its pretty well made. Its the designing of the bike which kills every little fun. Start with forward biased commuterish footpegs which doesnt allow for proper leans...followed by high raise handlebars which make it an awkward stance....A larger wheelbase doesnt help much either...(though, this is not as big an issue as the others)!

Give the ZMA, rearsets, clip-ons..(no clipons from the ZMR please) and you have one very good bike for the tracks...

However, Shrinath, you need to ride an Apache to know what insane tracki-teer it is....!
Agility and quick maneuvers is its forte along with a lovely rider-footpeg-handle geometry...!

If given a monoshock, I feel Apache might be a big threat to the supremacy of the R15 on..........well......anything...!

*Satyen....a cuppa coffee at CCD will do for me,...

And please ride an Apache with 'TYRES' and not the Srichakras or Eurogrips...!

Elaborating more on Pulsars, Pulsars have evolved immensely over time from horendos non-handlers of the Classic era till what we have in the form of latest gens......however, Bajajs current setup and attitude will never allow them to make a proper track bike...
!!!
