The Pump opposite YFS is a COCO.. i.e. almost as good as the RTO BPCL.Originally posted by shrinathrao View Post@ everyone - Whats your say on petrol pump opposite YFS Wakdewadi, Both shell pumpsin hinjewadi and the HP pump between Fc Road and Esquare?

Shell is the best one you can get. The one opposite Rakshas's place is the best bunk I could find. (Cheap fuel, good fuel, no lines, no waiting). The other Shell one on NH4 has more expensive fuel. Shell @ Kasarwadi is cheaper than the one on NH4
IOCL opposite E-Square is useless.
HPCL opposite Agri College gate is a good reliable bunk.Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Weekend getaway place: Ring falls
Guys i posted this one on the weekend getaways for mumbai ppl thread.
Thought i'd share it with you too
Place : Ring falls
Distance : About 80 kms from both Mumbai and Chandni chowk, pune.
Type : Waterfall
Nearest Highway : NH4
Best Season to visit : Monsoon
Tips/Suggestions/Warnings : Walk through the stream cud be risky in excess rains.
Ring falls is a very very less known place near the famous Zenith falls, khopoli. Walk all the way up the stream which have to cross for zenith falls. It goes straight to ring falls. Awesome must see place!!
Here are few pics from my ring falls ride.

Zenith falls on the way to ring falls.

Me walking up the stream.

BP Baner Pump is a super looter...Originally posted by shrinathrao View Post@ everyone - Whats your say on petrol pump opposite YFS Wakdewadi, Both shell pumpsin hinjewadi and the HP pump between Fc Road and Esquare?

I have been to the pump thrice so far.... Twice Initially to be looted (as i was ignorant) and the third time to catch them while cheating.
btw. . . I could easily catch them while cheating.
Typical practice followed over there is:
As soon as you start filling fuel in your vehicle, another attendant comes and asks you questions pertaining to ANYTHING which takes your eyes off the guage. As soon as you take your eyes off, some jhol-jhaal is done, and within seconds, your guage shows the amount you had wished to fill.
Guys, please refrain from filling fuel there (unless an emergency). There may be several other tactics used as well. eg. Electricity cut-off (used once on me as well)

Right said baner pump fellow are literally looting customers. I rarely use it and if i use also i make sure that i fill only fuel to reach the next good petrol pump. The biggest joke played at baner petrol pump where the attendant told my wife he had filled my scooty tank with 5.5 liters of petrol where the petrol tank is just 4 litres :0. Luckily they realized this is a scooty not splendorOriginally posted by Controlled Madness View PostBP Baner Pump is a super looter...

Sadly i will have to fill fuel here today...i have like odd 4-5 kms left for the tank to go dry...its in reserve!!
Another point i wana add up..
When the other attendant comes he asks question like card or cash, or keep change, or even how many kms ka average deti hai and what not...just a second off the meter and your gone!!! I am very stern when such situations arise...at times i even get of the bike and ensure there are no distractions...

Don't go to the petrol pump at the end of Tilak road on the left, just before Swargate chowk. They play the same dirty tricks (eg, attendant distracting you, someone asking to check out the credit card you're gonna pay with, another guy asking price/mileage of the bike, etc).
The one on the right, just before the above mentioned one is pretty good. They don't attempt the dirty tricks, and I think the fuel quality is pretty good too. Another good one is on Shastri road, next to Kaka Halwai. I usually fill up there.

Kaas lake/Plateau and Bamnoli
Guys - I have been to Kaas lake and Bamnoli last week. I think we should plan a ride. Attached are some photos. you all will like it.
Details:
Kaas Lake and Plateau - Plateau of flowers.
Best time to visit is Sep end. 135 kms from Chandani chowk
Bamnoli - A small village 15 kms ahead of Kaas. Beautiful place
Road conditions - Around 4kms of "not that bad" road. Else the ride after Satara is very good>>
We can plan for:
Kaas - Bamnoli - Tapola - Mahabi and back (Tapola is around 35kms from Bamnoli)
Journey around 320kms

I have never experienced any cheating pertaining to people or the fuel quality yet.
