@Aseem: yes I have a number of days before the trip, but then I can find time only on the weekend, & I am taking my bike to the mechanic on Saturday. But then the problem is that I don't have the time to run-in the bike properly.
@LP: Yaar, one stupid mechanic changed my carbs settings, changed the throttle pin's position to one slot above the middle one leaning out the mixture & also over-tightened the tappets. My bike was starting to overheat, got both things checked & found the culprit. I didn't keep a check on what the guy was doing ( I Know my fault) as the guy's quite popular here in chd. Brother, I will surely get it done this weekend, but then I will not be able to keep up with any of you guys. My bike would hardly manage a 100 kms by 14th, & I cannot ride such a bike hard as you know what can happen.
Guys, I am in but my bike's the problem. I can take her after getting her fixed, but then I will have to ride slow & steady, will not be able to keep up with the group (you know what a rebuilt engine means).
The other option is that I can go pillion, which I will if anybody of the confirmed riders can take me along.
