This thread seems to be dying again..... need to bring it back to life asap.
@ Ram,Suru,Mahesh - Sivaraj was at my office last week with his Black Monster and trust me guys the exhaust note was pure music to me.... he and deepak would be enjoying their ride with the B'lore team and same with Manoj enjoying his ride at cherai beach. What are we doing ??? We used to be so ready to ride but off late things have changed a looottttttt..... everyone is busy living their monotonous life and for us group riding has just become a word.
We need to wake up and do something about this. Why can't we meet or ride together like earlier. ???

Got back from the trip last night at 11.45PM! Five long days, GREAT people for company, great friends, bike that kept its word till date, amazing locations and I mean amazing! Blew so much of my perspectives out of sky, used to think kerala was the most beautiful state in south, now I feel karnataka IS.
Karnataka the places we've rode were so beautiful, the weather, the rice fields, the lush green, less commercialized forests and hills, HUGE rivers some really beautiful roads, people and the language.. Umm... loved it
Extreme mountain tops! Just beautiful, nothing falls short of awe.
Then there was stupidity not prepared enough for the rain was a short fall, was over optimistic of all I've got and everything fell short of keeping it up. Not only, I was soaked in rain, everything in my baggage was a smelly damp mess. The effect of rain and its dampness along with the stink lasted all 5 days of my trip. Next comes road, oh my, some of the roads I've rode were the worst possible anywhere else on the planet. Roads being bad in remote and ghat section of the ride was understandable, and expected. But facing it all around plains was a pain. Especially the last day from udupi to home for me was a little short of hell. And I cant appreciate more for all that the bike had taken in for my sake. THE WORST ROADS, EVER!!
Had an absolutely mixed reaction towards my first long trip. Makes me wonder about my future trips and taught me a lot. So far, I have learned, I am not a TOURER. Most probably it's common for a first timer, I guess. But I'll be candid about it, I didn't have the patience or maturity to be a group rider or as organized (have a lot to learn), not very good being prepared for the weather or planning the roads (can easily pick up on that), I have a habit to just drive from A to B on my own got no patience to wait or look around (This I don't know how to change, cause that is who I am) I have a choice either to grow up and become one a tourer or pursue what suits me as of now. Its a learning process.
Not just about touring and being organized, I have to learn a lot about myself
For all Its worth, It was an amazing experience. These were some of the best friends anyone could ever share it with. Thank you guys, I owe to everyone in the trip for helping me out a little and handing me out a lot with patience. Whatever it takes, I will join you guys for trips to come!
Been obsessed with momentum ever since i was born, but 0 - 200kmph took 30yrs! This will do for now!

1) Not a Tourer? If not, you wudn't have decided to Join these guys for 5 days. Yes, you are one "Tourer"Originally posted by blackside View PostGot back from the trip last night at 11.45PM! 2) Patience & Maturity is what a tourer needs & which a commuter doesn't need it. You shall slowly learn to cope with the group riding speeds once you're in for a couple of rides or so. Talking about patience, there is an other word for it in Cbe X-Bhp, "Mahesh". It is never easy to be a sweep in all the rides without complaining & he is one hell of a rider with lots & lots of patience.
3) The main purpose of riding in a group is to be aware of your own safety & the fellow riders'. If in case, ur fellow rider gets hurt or crashes out the rest of the group will take care of the entire process & talking by example will tell you the horror stories in our first ever G2G & the following ones where the rider was hurt & the entire team took care of everything around right to transporting the bike to the rider's home in Bangalore. Also talking about local stuff, myself & Suru have gone Bangi N number of times & will you believe if i say we towed Suru's ZMA 40+ kms..searching for petrol....? Good old days...!
As it's a learning process, you shall learn soon & hope will be a part of our group soon
Sure, it will be the next location....!Originally posted by dpak89 View PostHad an awesome trip!! reached cbe yesterday!!seriously as told by sivaraj!! i also feel Karnataka's western ghats are the true god's own country!!

@ Deepak & Sivaraj... gud to know u guys had fun and reached back safe... as ram said patience is the ONE word mostly required for any ride... you will surely learn the importance of every rider in a group ride once you start riding more often in groups.
We have been part of so many group rides and have had such experiences where we learnt the meaning for the word patience and co-ordination. Well we can surely share our experiences in our next G2G soon. Hopefully.
Rgds
Josh.
