Gentlemen, Am planning to take part in the g2g ride on Oct 7th.However i don't have the gloves & knee pads and need to buy the same.Any pointers on where i could buy the same in Coimbatore.But i do have a regular jacket.Not the biking one,is this ok?

I did find the above at the ADVENTURE STORE @fun republic mall the other day.The gloves and knee pads were priced at around Rs.1500/pair each.Is this price reasonable?

Yep that's reasonable. As far as I know what Karthik mentioned, he was stern regarding the riding gear policy. A basic good riding jacket costs upwards of 4k. 1.7 tp 2k for gloves and 1500 for knee pads.

The guy is plesant to deal with. Though the fat owner isn't avlbl in the store all the time, you might find a lady and a guy at the counter.

Sampath..I would prioritize gloves-Jacket-Knee guard. And yes they should be mandatory. It would be great if you could also get a Jacket. There has been lot of incidents where lack of proper riding gears have resulted in grave results in recent time. It saved my life too recently from a mishap. So Kindly try to get them all. Sorry guys have been travelling a lot and have been badly tied up with commitments... went thru the ISG2G thread and really feels good that the coimbatore team is getting back together and riding.

i would really love to ride with all of you but unfortunately will not be able to join this ride as the dates are clashing with some major pre plans of mine. Really very bad feeling but would try my best if I can join later.
