One question.. is there a doc where all riders ICE (In Case of Emergency) details are maintained? Back in KL we have one such doc (Google docs) which makes it easier when we go on a ride. Just download it, select the participating riders and make a few prints and keep with lead and sweep.
I'd recommend we create one, if its not already there. Typical data to capture would be :

name,
nickname(at home etc),
ICE contact name, relationship & number (this person would preferably know you are a crazy rider and prone to injury ),
bike reg number (this would come handy at check posts without having to run around the bikes),
bike make and model,
blood group with RH

@ all Cbe riders. The plan for the Cbe guys is this;

1. Initial gang composing of Deepak, Lijok, Gn.Times (suppose) & whomsoever would like to join from cbe will meet at Hopes Petrol Pump
2. Dinesh will wait for me at Singanallur & both shall ride down to the proposed meeting point
3. A small "Meet & Greet" at the Pump & moving ahead to Suru's place in Saravanampatti
4. Just get introduced to Suru & moving ahead with already devised plan from Karthik.

P.S. Note: Hopefully as two strokers are joining this including me which is four riders in total, the average speeds that can be maintained will be only 60'ish as ageing bikes can't keep up with the shiny new ones in the meet. So, would appreciate all of your kind co-operation throughout here as well as the Tri-State. If at all the four strokers are not happy in keeping up with the speed limit revised considering the welfare of two strokers, i feel that they can move on in a hyper speed and leave us behind.

Hi lijok, as of now we don't have one because everyone afaik here with us are brilliant riders who'll take care of themselves as well as fellow riders. But, it's a good practice to keep it. Will have a word with karthi and he shall take a call.

Finally the expected news is here

Okay the long awaited news for all of us. The accommodation part has been taken care of. The stay has been booked at The Spectrum Homestay, Chikmagalur.
Following are the details of the Homestay. :
It is 11kms from the town of Chikmagalur, towards Kaimara and Lingadahalli.
It is big enough to accommodate the larger gathering that is expected during ISGTG meets with ambient parking space for all the vehicles.
Easier access to the town, in case of any requirement like fuel/ATMs/Medical Help etc etc.

Cost per person for 2 days, inclusive of all meals,breakfast,snacks, tea and coffee is Rs.2200/-

Cost of t-Shirt: Rs.220/-( incase anybody wants an extra t-shirt add Rs.220/- for the total cost)

The last date for making the payment is 10/10/12. Would request everybody interested for the ride to transfer the money as soon as possible, since the confirmation of stay will be done only after transfer of money as it is a long weekend in Karnataka with Nov 1st being a holiday as well. It was painful affair to get a place for such big a group for the long weekend and i don't think anybody would be interested in losing this as well.


Itenary for the meet:
Day 1(Nov 2nd) : The groups from different cities will start coming by post afternoon.
Day2(Nov 3rd) : Will have breakfast and leave for Mullayanagiri. After spending some time we will be coming back to the homestay for lunch. Post lunch we will ride down to Ayyanakere/Viewpoint/Bababudangiri (will be decided later) for photo shoot and come back to the homestay for Bon-Fire.
Day3(Nov 4Th) : The groups will start to leave as early as possible depending on the distance that has to be traveled.


P.S: The drink and Ride prohibition will be on for this ride as well. Whoever planning to consume alcohol, please leave you keys with your city lead/SPOC.

Few pointers for the ride, well in advance: No excuses of over looking the post will be accepted.
Mandatory gear: proper full face helmet/jacket/gloves. Same for both rider and pillion.
Recommended gear: knee protectors/proper raingear.
*If you dont have the necessary gear ready, please go fetch it. There is lot of time left.
*Shorts/Three-forths/sandals/chappals are a strict No-No while riding.
*Anybody failing to implement the above said points can leave on their own from the starting point. Group riding will be taken up very seriously going further.
Please get your bike in good condition before the ride, so that neither you or others will be delayed. Unforeseen circumstances can be understood, but break down due to your negligence needs to be minimized. Please pay attention to the pre-ride briefing for further details

Few *recommended* stuff to be carried, Not only for this ride but for any long ride.
1. spare Key
2.Acc and clutch cables.
3.Fuses(in case you dont have any spare fuse slots provided on the bike, more so if you have made any changes in the electrical circuit like HIDs etc)
4. A Spare headlight bulb
5. First Aid kit with all the essentials( Anybody taking a regular course of medicine for a particular ailment like against some alergies/Asthma and the likes) please keep a note of it. The nearest medical help from the place of stay is a good 15-20Kms away.
6. Pack your luggage in polythene covers before you dump it into a backpack or saddlebag.
7.As far as possible avoid having a back pack on your shoulder.Tie it to the back seat with a bungee chord.
8.Puncture repair Kit and foot pump/electric pump to be carried by one/two people in a group where you are starting from.

P.S: These are not just for this ride, its adviceable to use it on all long rides.

As for now we don't required such record as there is only handful members, but i feel it is time to have such record as the group expands.

Sorry for the earlier post. I opt out of the pre-ride / ISG2G ride.
There is tension prevailing on these roads as Karnataka has opened waters to TN.
During the ride days there will be more tension and it will be better to opt out.
You guys too, pls take care. It is not advisable to ride in Karnataka witha TN number plate as of now.
Refer all news stories going on.

I too hope problem gets over ... but always in the past karnataka tension has always fired up for atleast 2-3 months ...
Avoiding better is the key!

These guys get fiery and turn hooligans when they see TN number plates.
Riding as a group with TN number plates with surely seek attention.
