Guys - My helmet's non detachable inner lining is dirty, as in really dirty.Any idea how to get it cleaned?

Wow that's a question. I used to have a Vega Formula HP helmet and I had the same thing happened to me, 600 Rs helmet. The inner lining turned black due to my hair oil usage, coupled with dirt accumulation. Solution?

Got my self Tide, sachet, stirred it up till froth, and use "lukewarm water" and then dunk and slowly press the inner pads, you can see the water changing color immediately upon pressing the pads. Do it for a few times until the pads eventually turn to normal color. It's a sure shot way to remove the dirt, and it worked for me.

But the only drawback is the gluing of the pads on repeated washing tends to give away. Anyways, it lasted for 2.5 .

Will it be a good idea to soak the entire helmet (Immersion Method) in mild detergent??

Your suggestion sounds good and have read similar solutions in other forums.My helmet has been lying idle for a long time before the pre-ride.Will try it out tonite and shall try to give a pictorial review.

VJ- you will be joining us for the ISG2G from Cbe or from other locations enroute(Annur/Sathy or even Chamrajnagar)?

Folks- How about Fun Republic for the 28th meeting??

Yes, I will be joining from the same place, I joined you guys for the pre-meet, hopefully, if the meet point doesn't change. As of now that's the intent.

Yes Ji, yesterday only left the bike discussed about 90/100 wiring but Raja anna told he has too many bikes in line so wiring will be done after returning from trip ji...
As discussed before new sprockets, clutch plate work, replacing shogun handle bars with OE handle bars and Alfa Toyo mirrors, saree guard will be removed... these are the planned work...
