We dont do it,All the time.. We are not traffic policeman.
The signs are needed once in a while and while in traffic, one will concentrate more on riding rather than giving signals!

P.S: The signale used to donate potholes on the meerut road while coming back fromLansdowne was Hillarious! we understood it,but people on road, got to know a zilch about what we are trying to say!

but to keep the group united even in the city traffic there should be some pre- decided things...

like on the highway from delhi to jaipur...the mid-way at bherod is having quite a amount of traffic where a new rider may get detached from the group...for that i am saying shouldn't all the riders stay close....

        • Whenever you guys would be going for a ride... there will be a leader ( who will be leading the group ) and then there would be a sweeper ( who will be behind the group ). Both the leader and the sweeper would be experienced riders wo knows the way to the destination...so dont worry about getting lost and all buddy.

Dont forget this would be a group ride organised by top notch experienced riders & moderators of Delhi xBhp i.e. Aryan Da & Ken Da. So you guys dont have to worry about anything other than following the instruction given by them and I can bet it would be one beautiful ride which you guys would experience....so just relax buddy

          • @all: Let's just keep ourselves cool and not get too much excited about it. This is just going to be another ride to the hills. It's just that a bunch of newbies are been given opportunity to start their touring life on a good note. Well, I do hope that they appreciate it all.

As for the "instructions", I am sure riding on Indian roads alone is experience enough for most of us, but for the ride, each participant will be briefed, and all the queries will be cleared in an face-to-face session, prior to starting the ride. Much needs to be decided and worked upon for this ride, viz: the riders who would be joining in, the destination and the road(s) leading to it, road etiquette, riding in a group, riding in the hills, different maneuvers and a host of other things.

Lest assured, it would be an exciting ride, that we (me and Ken da) will make sure of!

The video shows that the signals are only given by the Leader who is leading the group rest all are following him. When you are riding on traffic highways you will be asked to switch on your light even in day this will help the leader to point out who all is there second thing there are many formations which is used at the time of traffic at highly jammed area you should follow single lane with your lights on,less traffic highways you will be ask to make scattered or 2 lane formation the best formation that i think is scattered formation. In night you will be asked to use your light at low beam in single formation and note when you are riding in traffic with group always look into your rear view mirror + if you have any problem or thinks that the guy behind you have problem then simultaneously blow horn + dipper together.

In simple terms 'tale-gating' means driving closely behind another vehicle. Never-ever do that, ever; be it in group ride or riding in city. Always maintain atleast two bike's worth of distance between you and your nearest rider/ driver ahead. This is known as the 'safe distance'.
                        :)
