dear friends, as some of our cochin friends already know, just taken a cool ride on yesterday, 9th july. Started from cochin at 4 in the morning. Taken the highways. Reached bangalore at 12 in the noon. Blasted in the highways... Just taken an average of 100 kmph for 2.5 hours... Thats the great time i had ever in my ride history. After reaching and meeting some friends, i headed to mysore at 6.30 pm. Reached mysore at 8.45 pm covering another 150 kms... So my highest Length ride in a day... 688 kilometres.... Took a rest for one day on 10th. Will be riding back to kottayam on 11th. A cool ride till now.

reached back

after the 3days journey, came back today. Reached home at 7.30 am.
total km covered - 1267km
1st day -688 kms cochin-palghat-coimbatore-salem-banglore
2nd day-70 days- inside and around the city of mysore
3rd day- 509 kms- mysore-nilambur-otappalam-shornur-thrissur-moovattupuzha-kottayam.

I took a round in mysore on 10th. palaces, gardens and chamundi and nandi hills.........unknowingly entered one ways three times.... Costed just 50 rupees for all.......

Started at 6 in the morning of 11th...headed towards ootty road,took the road through bandipur forest......reached nilambur at 11 am........then otappalam.......shornur.....thrissur....angamaly.. ....moovattupuzha.......kottayam........




Travelled most in highways.......but different types.......nh 47 of kerala........nh 47 and 7 of tn and ka which gave me a chance to take a 100 kmph for 2.5 hours........ And the highway through bandipur forest.......not so good.......but as i was watching the forest for wild animals, it was a slow pace ride........ And from nilambur to ottapalam, its tough to go beyond 70 kmph....... From ottapalam to thrissur, we can just tune up our machines and the rest is well known....right?

I thank my machine for sure.....it gave 35kmpl for the 2.5 hours i took 100 kmph speed. (but i realised it after talking to kochumvk)
But for allover....... Rode 1267 kms...... Fileed petrol for 1500 rs...(ie. Around 28.3 litters). So the average mileage seems to be around 44 kmpl........ Feel it as a cool mileage.

And most importantly what was the top u managed? I hope u crossed 130?
Will call u... Me and swaroop wanna go Bangalore.. sooner.. what about doing 1000 km a day? I am sure u wont mind doing another bangalore trip... after a month

@ Praveen - You did all that solo ? Good to see more people being bitten by the touring bug. Could you give an idea about the amount of time that it took you while returning from Mysore ?

I think Sabu will be very happy to hear of the Leh trip !
