I guess you are getting confused with modern ABS which rely on electronics.

No Volacano thingy... I read the same in two other threads about the same( araku, hyd workshop thread). I didnt post anything there... But when i read the same in hyd g2g thread... Where the news or statement given by our very own prabhakar is not at all reliable(true) ... Couldnt take it... and jsut replied.


Look at the test results, he braked hard, and hte distance was reduced and hence its an abs. Wow ... fantastic..

Test it on a condition which mentioned in the above post..
Test it on a wet conditioned road(tarmac)
Test it on a road with oil spread all over.

PS: Its better even i follow the way Joel followed. Simply get out of discussion

Please check my First Statement!!!

One word I can say about the ABS is Simply SUPERB!!!

I don't want to comment on how it works, Why it works or any thing else.
It is not a even a true ABS however it helps a lot in keeping the vehicle in control all the time During Panic/ hard braking & steering under Braking!

I clearly Mentioned here that I don't know whether its name is right or wrong.
I don't want to know also.
What I'm concerned is whether its doing a basic job or not!!
Its a mechanical unit which is Pulsating the Brake!!

Its not an Electronic Unit which senses wheel lock & prevents it.
It simply Pulsates the brake irrespective of the Tire lock up!!
U can call it as a Mechanical Pump if U want.

Lets continue this.
Its still a healthy discussion.
Don't stop the views which U have.
We are here for knowing the Goods & Bads of the products which V use.

I accept that I don have any means to test it Scientifically.
However I rode this bike for 14000 km without this & 2000 km with this.
This 2000 km which were done at the end of the life of my rear tire.
So I definitely can feel the difference.
Still it did not step out during extremely hard braking.
That is what matters to me.

3000 km earlier Riaz was right behind me & under hard braking he saw how my bike stepped out - Just like a fish tail During the Medak Ride.
Now it did not - with a even more worn tire!!

THIS UNIT IS NOT A MIRACLE!!!

I repeat it does only a simple job of pumping the brake ALL THE TIME which most of us do only when the wheel locks up in a much better way.

It is no way comparable to the Electronic - ECU controlled Anti-Lock Braking System with different sensors.

Anyways let's test it out this weekend with another P220 without it.

Also when Joel comes here we'll check it out fully.

Reason - I don't recommend or trust unless I use them.

Each product which I'm trying to take dealerships are like that only.
NGKs - I'm Using from 2 years.
Motul - I'm Using from 1.5 Years.
Cramster Using from 1 Year.
AGV helmet - 1year.
Slime Puncture resistant liquid 13 months.
ABS - 2000km.
Duro / IRC tires Used for almost 2 years.

Except the Last 2 all other were a part of my Ladakh trip.
I got Dealerships for only the first 2.
Remaining I'll try to Get for Sure.

Other products which I believe are good are used by people whom I know well & used them extensively.
Example - Petronas Oils, K & Ns, etc.

So Please don't hesitate to comment on any product which I may use or may get a dealer ship.
Who knows I may also go Wrong.

I'm happy that more people are actually trying to help me by giving their views openly.

Its been from a long time thinking of fitting an k&n airfilter on p200.
Reason behind fitting this: Just want to know waht is it all about the stock and after market air filters.
