@madmax: Dude, you stay at Sainikpuri?! I stay there too. Maybe you've seen me? - A big guy on a Yellow bike with a white helmet.. I think I saw you at the Radhika theatre crossing a couple of weeks back, do you have a yellow helmet to go along with your Dio? I was on my Passion+ that day and almost crashed into you when the signal became red because I was used to my R15 braking
    Coming for the G2g?
I do stay at sainikpuri, but it wasn't me.

    • A friend of mine met with a really tragic accident last night . It was close to Gachibowli and happenned right after our office shift around 3 :30 am. As usual we had tea and smoke together while leaving and I boarded the cab. He comes on his bike and by the time I reached home, got the news that he has crashed on to a truck, that was coming in the wrong direction and both the bike and the truck exploded in fire.

Few of the office cabs were shuttling on the way and employyes pulled him out just in time. I headed back all the way and initially shifted him to Image hospiatal and then to Appollo, J hills. Just got home after close to 24 hours and must say he is dead lucky to be alive. Lost quite a bit of blood but he is out of danger now with a broken neck and few burns here and there. Got heavy bruises and wounds on most part of his body too.

After going to the location and seeing the remains , all i can say is he is a lucky chap. Krishnanand Gupta, dats his name, please pray for a speedy recovery.

PS: Bike was a pulsar 150.

        • MadMax, very sad to hear about the incident. Wishing your/our friend/colleague a speedy recovery. I have seen the accidnet spot while returning from office at 6 a.m. Shocked to see the burnt bike and lorry and thought who was the unfortunate soul.

Later in office, I came to know he works in EBOS (I work for Deloitte too) and felt very sad.

                      • So, we were speaking about land speed records in Hyderabad for the past two days. And, guys, FYI, that road where this incident happened is worth doing well over a 100 KMPH. Not sure how that guy was riding but the way a bunch of us here ride is bang on target to meet with such a fate.

There is no shortage of utter idiots on the road (remember the Ceat Tyres ad???) and please try not to be among them. There are two ways to be out of that group - 1) be a bigger idiot than the regular bunch and reach the hell faster 2) drive/ride more sedate and reduce the danger to yourself and to others.

You have the right to choose either and you have the duty to choose the later.

                        Reminds me of Chaitanya's accident.

There are many freaky accidents that happen with Pulsars due to the front disc locking up but this kind of accidents can be on just anything. And then, when more than 60% of the premium bikes sold are Pulsars, you are bound to see more of them in accidents.

Two days ago there was an accident near Maula Ali with a Pulsar and a Karizma. 2 dead and 1 seriously injured. All 3 people below 20 years age. New bike. No gear. Careless driving.
