@Prabhakar - hey Nice to know about the HMTV thing. I wasn't able to come online for almost two days and just saw the postings regarding it. I am going to Kurnool on friday to attend a friends wedding and plan to be back by saturday afternoon so count me in for the G2G. I might not be able to get online for a day, so will check the thread on saturday evening. Looking forward for the G2G. I admit I was a bit lazy and missed some of the previous G2Gs.

@Riaz - I remember the lovely narsapur formation ride. I am sure we can repeat that again - infact we can further improve upon it.

Looking forward to meet all the newbies too.

Who would be interested to see/hear a 40yr old in the G2G?

This is good. However we must make sure that everyone is wearing proper gear and we do not resort to any antics (speeding / stunting / cornering ) which may endager personal or public safety. You all have to remember that xBhp is now actively promoting safe riding and showing motorcycling as a way to enhance one's life and not a tool for hooliganism. Let us respect this and foremost our beloved brother Kriss, whom we lost recently. Let there be a purpose to this in memory of him and the message we strive to deliver - Ride Safe.


If any media asks anyone from our group to perform any antics, just say NO. It doesnt matter if they want to go ahead by showcasing us or not, we have to show them there is more to motorcycling that stunts etc.

All your points have been noted and would be duly taken care of. Yes, there will not be any kind of breakage of rules. Motorcycling would be promoted as our common Passion and way of living and just not stunting and racing.

Everyone would be strictly on full riding gear. All the members would be riding in group with proper spacing and signalling.

We are having a G2G to discuss the HMTV event this sunday. ALL the members are requested to come for the briefing upon the event.

Date: Sunday, 20 Dec 09
Time: 6.30AM
Place: Necklace Road MMTS Station.
Agenda: Once all the members arrive briefing would be done by Prabhakar. All the doubts would be clarified. Approximately it would take about 1 hour. After that interested riders can ride back home or ride down to paradise for breakfast.

No separate list has to be created for this as ALL the members have to come. So put your lazy bums to work and try your best not to miss this few upcoming G2G's.

Guys, a new SMS Channel has been created for xBhp Hyderabad.
The last had been created by Kriss. But sadly it cant be used for sending messages anymore. Hence a new Channel has been created by Prabhakar.
Please subscribe to this channel for updates on the latest happenings and rides in Hyderabad.

This service is absolutely free. However an active google account is needed for it. Please choose the Start time and End time according to your convenience. However the ideal timing would be 5AM to 11.30PM. Since the channel would be moderated there is NO chance of SPAM.

After subscribing make sure that you change your settings to receive the channel updates from morning till night ie Start Time & End Time which you can change in settings.

Google is binding in many ways. First everyone needs a google account. Second - only the creator can administer it - no chance of multiple people administering it.

I think it was propsed earlier to have a common account and the credentials to be shared with few members. so that there is always a backup if one is not able to send the message.

I apologize the creation of a SMS channel without informing other senior members.
However I believe some 1 needs to take the first step so I took the initiative.
The only reason I took the initaitive when Rahul Discussed about the SMS channel was the ease of informing members.
Yes as KP said only people with Google accounts can have it.
But any one with an email can create it in 30 seconds.
However it is becoming increasingly difficult to inform all the members about the events by calling & manually sending the SMS through Phone.
Members who are trying to do it are incurring expenses also.

if not google then may be we can use the free sms service offered by websites wherein anyone of us can send out a bulk message to the number in the address book.

Some of the providers of this service are way2sms, 160by2 etc.,

what we can do is create a separate group for xBhp members in our address book and as and when there is a g2g or something, we can inform our fellow members about the same.

What other members have to do is post their mobile no.s so that they can be added to the database of the address book.

This can be done by any user.. so if one member is unable to inform others about a meet..other's can help out.

what say guys ?

my hod used this method to inform us about various issues be it projects, internals etc ., :-)
