Sadly, I am disappointed to see no water in the Pocharam. Hope, it would have been filled up with recent rains. When did you do this trip?

I did the trip last to last weekend. I guess the it would be more filled now.

Anyway , this weekend my friends are planning a trip to Kuntala falls. Anyone willing to join , is most invited . Can anyone share his experience of Kuntala falls.

I know Pocharam is common weekend getaway over here but still sharing my experience. I liked 15km hike , which included 5 km at Wildlife Sanctuary and rest around Dam , Church and Fort . In the wee hours of morning it was raining Cats and Dogs . The rain gear saved our day.

Yeah I saw the Komodo Dragon or Water Monitor in Wildlife Sanctuary at Pocharam.
I searched on net and found that water monitor (Komodo Dragon - Goanna (Monitor) Lizard Resource Page - Varanidae Family of Lizards) are found in India and appear pretty much same as Komodo Dragon. Don't know exactly what it was but I hardly got couple of mins to take its snaps. It went into water in no time.

Yes, the guy(or was it a girl?) looks very much like a Komodo Dragon. I wasn't aware that such large lizards roam our jungles. I am sure it must have been a sight. While the Komodos are found only in the SouthEast Asia, this one seems closely related.

Coming back to motorbikes, like I mentioned earlier, I get to see a lot of Suzuki 2-stroke 100cc model exactly like the Ind-Suzuki, the other day I saw a couple of 250cc 2-stroke bikes in excellent condition and the styling looked 80s and though not exactly, they sounded somewhat like an RD. Now I want to check with the Yamaha guys here if they ever sold RDs plus I also need to apply for a two-wheeler license most likely next month.

ew rtr's are going there on sunday......its a strict RTR only ride! Vishnuu, me and vinu are confirmed. Myself....i got a swelling in my chin...if it subsides by then....am def in!

I was planning to ride both on sunday to kuntala and on monday to pocharam or some place you decided upon earlier.....all this time i was thinking that u guys are riding on monday......now i can back out from that kuntala...arun will kill me. I have a big infection on chin....it swollen to a size of a golf ball...even though t that ****er wont leave me!

If there is any chance u guys going on monday then i can join...if am ok...else i'll have give the ride s a skip!

Put me in the tentative list as my MIL has been hospitalized today, so not sure Wether I can come for a long ride .
