CBR250??? Do consider it before thinking of ninjaOriginally posted by kiran_borra View PostThis might be a Old News but I was watching CNBC Today and one of the News goes like this:
"Honda is all set to take over Hero Motors by capturing the 100cc market. Soon a 100cc bike would be launched which would be priced below 30,000. And Honda is all set to launch CBR250 which would be a competition to Hero's Karizma"

Hi Ajay - there was a nice trail until a cpl of yrs back behind trimulgery - let me check if I can give you the google map co ordinates. not sure if it still is usable cause last I heard about it, there was some construction etc about to begin there - btw you mean it for a motorbike? or a real bike?Originally posted by ajay_vishvanathan View PostHelp!!!!!
anyone knows any place near secunderabad where i can do some trials.. say some nice clean ground (not O.U it sucks..) please.. tell me..
how is the wobbling etc part of your bike now? did you get the bushes of the rear shocks checked? even they can cause the wobbling also check the bushes of the swingarm.
do you have a lot of tyres? why do you want to burn them until you see all the smoke and stuff? thatz not good for the tyre - I know I am sounding old but you shud not do it with a regular tyre - OMG did you realise that an improperly worn tyre could also be the cause of the wobbles? maybe the tyre itself is in a bad shapre and needs to be replaced.
though the burnouts etc look good in pics etc, I only used to do them in the mud, very very very rare on tarmac or hard surfaces. I am not trying to discourage but then if you have only one bike then... I would prefer preserving it. But yes back in my days, I used to do the burnouts just before replacing the rear tyre after I had brought the new tyre already

Nice idea.. Very much possible. Aren't the skoda projectors too big? Mind you, H3's are expensive bulbs.Originally posted by riazmomin View PostCheck this http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/510844-post93.html

Well.. I read your post. You don't necessarily have to do DC conversion. You can still run them on AC but with same or worse light spread (incase you keep same rating bulbs) OR better spread if you plan to upgrade the bulbs (with its own pros and cons).
If you plan to use DC bulbs, you can take a direct supply from the battery itself and can route the existing headlight cables to battery.
In any case just make sure the projector is the right one for your purpose, or you might end up with something you never wanted!

Bingo... that's exactly what I felt. Please make sure these pics don't get into the hands of CID. They will start hunting for me then.Originally posted by riazmomin View PostKP looks like Dawood Ibrahim in the pic...
Honda and under 100cc? I seriously doubt if they can launch a CD100, Boxer, Star equivalent at that price. Just think about it. Even the ones I named here cost 33K & above and how come Honda would sell even a moped under 30K? forget it. Looks like people forgot about the over priced Twister and Dazzler with nasty plastics and patheticly finished welding on metal parts.Originally posted by kiran_borra View Post"Honda is all set to take over Hero Motors by capturing the 100cc market. CBR250... hmmm... just for coparison sake, CBR250 is in the league of Ninja250 and not with the ZMA. Expect the CBR250 to be around 3.5L to 4L range - above the Ninja - thanks to Honda's step-motherly treatment to Indians by pricing their products much higher here. If they don't do it, it would be a wonder.
Statutory Warning: Burnout is injurious to your bikes health.Originally posted by ajay_vishvanathan View PostI want to do a proper burnout.. i do it in my apartment's cellar.. its cement flooring (its like blocks) and the tyre really dies out.. there is a lot of jerking.. less smoke.. can you please tell me how to do it correctly.. btw i searched google and all that crap.. i need pro advice..
PS: Attend some G2G and our guys would be more than willing to help you with that.
H3 bulbs are super cheap and you get it every auto spares shop. Rs 40 MRP and they can give you ar Rs 35 too... It is almost as common as H4 now a days. You get H3 is 55W at most places but you also have options like 40W and 90W.Originally posted by riazmomin View PostHeadlight update:

Lol that shop is a big joke lol. I saw it when I bought my 200 like ages back. Stupid cheap ass body kits and shady job. I wouldnt suggest anyone to go there. If you really want serious mods, take the extra step and head down to coimbatore or blore... worth the effort. Sadly hyd doesnt have serious modders yet. Regarding gear, I got a call from Ritesh and now they have their shop somehwere in madhapur.Originally posted by MadMax46 View Post

He was speaking about proper two wheeler mods.
@Ravi
Its was excellent weather yesterday, but I more enjoyed it sleeping till noon and then on Playstation.
Headlight update:
On saturday, tried wirings using one projector.
Got a H3 55W bulb for Rs 60/- (test purpose bulb from Ministers Road, will get better ones whole setup is successful) and plonked it to project and connectoed to paralell sockets on the stock socket, yippe it worked and the low-beam spread is great.
So using two projectors will dry out the batter in couple of minutes. Coil rewinding is must now and DC is still optional.
Coming to the fairing design, I need to pick up the side fairing parts from P135 and the projectors holder from P220 headligt casing.
Already prepared the skeleton design for holding all this stuff and welding jobs is required.
Its a plug-in setup that I have planned, mean I can any time remove the modded setup and shift too the stock fairing when ever I want as the stock skeleton will be there and will remain same.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme

ya but.. i just thought that there might be any bike mod shops.. at least 1 or 2 hidden there..Originally posted by riazmomin View PostThose areas are meant for Cars right?

oh and i know of 1 place where they do good stickering job..
its near manju theater complex.. they do a good job for modding ur bike's looks.. like i did mine.. ill post some pics of my bike soon.. you will get a fair idea..
i modded my bike honda unibaby 2005 to a good looking hotrod bike ^_^
its just similar.. i did some homework and took the designs to him and he did it.. but its costly.. it cost me 1000 bucks.. just the left-right-top of fuel tank.. the visor.. and the front tire mudguard.. sad that i didnt maintain it really good.. got scratches at some places.. still its looking cool there.. you must maintain it like a burning candle in open area with rain.. really careful..Last edited by ajay_vishvanathan; 10-18-2010, 04:45 PM.
