The 24 mm is a real fun. The camera feels solid.

Congratulations Ravi anna, I am glad that atlast people are buying real cameras!!! The 24-60mm focal length is fantastic combination. Explore the 35-50 mm range(treat the 24-35mm range as a separate category!!), Some of the best pics I have seen from the film era are between 40-50mm!!! You could use the 50-60mm for Portrait photography!!!

Note:I would be even more happy if someone said they bought a DP2!!! Its a fixed focal length(41mm) camera!!! Yeah for the zoom lovers it is 1x zoom. It means no zoom...... lol

All probability, tomorrow evening I am leaving for my "Hero Honda" sponsored Raid Tamilnadu 2011. Ride is for 15 odd days ranging 4000+ kms across entire TN. Stunting is arranged at i believe at 7 odd venues including shopping malls etc. I should get back by around 25 Jan. Cyaaa all.

If you are talking about improving skills like that stuff, keep away from 18-200, instead plan for quality glass!! Start with the 50mm f1.8!!
D200 is an excellent camera!!

thats like 6km from my place! short-ish meaning around 50km one way so max 100 or 120km up and down!!! i really cant be bothered to come to where there's a crowd! that too in the sun, a big turn-off!

i'd much rather go to a nicer place where theres less LOLLI (like kiran anna suggested)
