Night rides sound like fun!

Had gone on a short night ride with ashish on saturday (hid testing). Turned back somewhere after shahapur, it was quite cold so dhaba g2g should be fun. I am game for this weekend.

HI Fellas...is any XBhpian from mumbai/pune planning for Leh-Ladakh ride in 2012 ? If so..please share your plans here. Im very keen on going on that ride in 2012. If there are any like-minded souls who are looking forward to it, please let me know.

Me and one of friend are riding to kokan this week due to some work here's the plan

Leave Mumbai on 24th morning and reach Devgad
25th: Vijaydurg - Kunkeshwar - Malvan
26th: Malvan - Tarkarli - Devbaug
27th: Sawantwadi (personal work) - Mumbai

Total of around 1200kms or so

Total estimated expenses around 3.5K p/p including fuel

Route - NH17 all the way

mumbai-kolhapur (NH4)>Radhanagari>Malvan.
Malvan>Mumbai(NH17) .

the condition of NH17 is pretty bad..
the road is washed of completely in some places like Sangameshwar. Many potholes after Hathkhamba while coming towards Mumbai.
Even Radhanagari is in bad condition.
Avoid riding in dark.

Finally got leave for complete next week (26 Nov-3 Dec). Planning to do a big ride, guys please suggest some good place. If anyone wanna join they they are most welcome (don't wanna do it solo ).

Hi adway, thanks for an update. Can you tell me what is road condition on NH17 from chiplun towards to mumbai. I need to go to guhagar for some work and coming back on same day. Asking you because have to do night riding on Nh 17 while coming back to mumbai.

yes i had gone throught it before, but his plans are quite different from the one i had in mind. so thats the reason for the new post.

Thinking of completing all the places in MH first . Haven't seen Ajanta-Ellora yet ....and not to forget the famous Daulatabad fort. Planning to do a ride there. Anyone wanna join let me know. Can plan the dates accordingly.

Did the Ajanta-Ellora ride with Sachin Nair. Ellora is a FAR better bet than Ajanta. Recommend you save you travel time to Ajanta to go some place else. Ellora is worth checking out though.

EDIT: now kakkar says "Did the Ajanta-Ellora ride with Sachin Nair (Ellora) is a FAR better bet than Ajanta. Ellora(Sachin Nair) is worth checking out though."
