Ride To Toranmal Hill Station
10th & 11th Dec'11
Total Distance - 1000 kms (Max)

Route planned -
Thane to Toranmal - Via NH8 & NH6 - 495 kms
Toranmal to Thane - Via SH1 & NH3 - 440 kms

(OR)

Thane - Toranmal - Thane - via NH3

Plan -
On 10th Dec'11 - Leave Thane at 4:00am

Planning to reach Toranmal by 3pm latest, stay at any guest house or MTDC and then sight seeing in Toranmal.

On 11th Dec'11 - Again sight seeing till 11am and then start return journey.

From what I found on web this place has Lakes, view points, wildlife sanctuary, etc Nothing Exotic about the place but the fun is in riding and also seeing a new place.

Confirmed -
1) Sachin - ZMR
2) Puneet - Karizma R

Tentative -
1) Viraj - R15 (Mostly not coming)
2) Saurabh - P220 (50:50)

If we come back via NH8 then I am little worried about traffic in Nalasopara, Virar, Vasai all the way till we reach Fountain Hotel. Since NH6 is not a known route and also it will take more time to be completed we rather go via NH8 on Sat and come back via NH3.

No need to worry about nalasopara,virar,vasai traffic man! the roads have become superb! i have hardly seen any traffic during my solo rides..

You guys are hardly going to get to see anything there in that kind of schedule. Why not try the Purna Wildlife sanctuary

Are you coming by car and this would be your first G2G?
My non compliant camera phone remains in locker for the entire day in office so you can check this thread for more details.

I think Shirdi ride was the first and last time I met u PK

@All - The plan is very much open now, we can go to Purna Wildlife sanctuary for this weekend ride as it is less than 300 kms one way which means less riding and more fun

Toranmal looks worth visiting but it will be a really hectic ride for 2 days so re thinking the plan now.

Where has the papa of Mumbai Xbhp dissappeared? Where has nunu, Tanmay, Alu dissappeared after Kaas ride? Neend se jaago

I take my '05 ZMA to KG Motors (opp. Mainland China, near Infinity Mall). Good with the bikes. But they might try to sell you parts, use your judgement while approving to replace parts.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that...

They are an authorized HH service centre.
No mech specifically, but they work on a lot of ZMAs (Rs and ZMRs).

They are usually open till about 6pm in the evening.

Had a chat over the fone wit the K.G Motors person..he was very helpful..he also told me tht they give free pickup and drop service in andheri area...will be going there once i'l get time from work...
