Problem starting the bike

Hi Friends,

This incident happened today evening. As yesterday was a Holiday, "Independence Day", My bike was parked for 2 days in the rain. Today evening i started it for my office commute. everything was good for 10 minutes. It started giving jerks & went off. i tried starting it again & after 5-6 tries it started but again after running about 50 mtr same thing. did this for 3-4 times. every time the bike would start after 3-4 attempts but shut down after running some distance. then i took it to Reddy's Garage @ goregaon as i was near it & i was a usual customer for all 3 of my previous bikes. Sadly @ reddy's they don't work on R15. so requested him to keep the bike for the night as i was getting late for office.

What could be possibley wrong? water in tank? problem with FI? anything else?

I will take her to Yamaha Factory shop @ Malad tomorrow.

There are 2 Ghatghars -- One next to Malshej (NH222) and other next to Bhandardara (NH3-SH44) ... So which one are you guys planning to do ??


BTW I am planning a quick ride on Saturday (7th July) to Igatpuri to explore Tringalwadi Dam for the first time ... Have already covered Bhandardara, Darna, Kudwa, Talegaon and Upper Vaitarna dams in that area .... This one seems interesting as the location is behind a tall mountain (as seen in the satellite view) and I expect lot of fog and rain on the way !

I was on black 220 red Tees with a lady friend as pillion .. we crossed each after murbaad before the malshej curves start .. I was on my way up while you guys were returning ... After that point I kept on narrating xBhp stories and how sure I was that you guys were xBhpians to my friend till she got bored to death

It was my first experience watching a xBhp group ride and it really was awesome seeing you people all clad in gears

haha.. Only I was the xBhpian in them.. Other where my local friends, fully geared though..

Btw, even I spotted a guy on red cbr, with red dsg.. The best part was, he was without helmet

i faced this issue 2 yrs ago with my R15... and the reason was--- there was some deposit the kill switch because of the rainwater... which lead to cut-off of the engine with some jerks...
Solution:- get the switch cleaned with WD40 (or any rust-off fluid) and get a plastic cover for the switches...
