Waterfall Ride

I've an excellent plan for tomorrow. We will cover 2 ghats and 3 major waterfalls enroute.




The Plan

• Start Ride @ 7am from Thane Toll Gate (where NH3 & NH4 separate)
• Ride till Kasara Ghat via NH3
• First Stop - Vihigaon Waterfall, Kasara Ghat
• Ride till Khodala via Kasara-Khodala-Mokhada-Jawhar route
• Second Stop - Devband Waterfall, Khodala
• Ride till Jawhar via Kasara-Khodala-Mokhada-Jawhar route
• Third Stop - Dhabosa Waterfall, Jawhar
• Ride till Manor via Jawhar-Vikramgadh-Manor route
• Take NH8 from here to return home
• End Ride @ 6pm near Fountain Hotel (NH8-Ghodbunder)

Note : The roads after we leave Kasara ghat may be in bad condition. Please be mentally prepared for it. Ensure that your bike is in healthy condition and has full tank petrol during start of the ride. These are interior areas of maharashtra's tribal belt and getting help may be difficult enroute.

PS : No rider will be allowed failing to follow the rules mentioned here. All the riding gears (mainly riding jacket or thick jacket with elbow guards, knee guards, sports shoes, jeans, full face helmet & gloves) are mandatory for this ride. Please carry all the valid documents (RC, DL, PUC & Insurance)

Well if ur coming from goregaon side u'll cross oshiwara police station and reach aadarsh nagar signal...from the signal ride towards infiy mall or lotus petrol pump...as soon as u cross the signal there will be temple to ur left..then a mattress shop...then a tire shop and right next to the tire shop is A.H.Helmets...its approximately 4-5 shop from the temple..or just par ur bike at the aadarsh nagar bus top as look around u'll be able to find it...hope this helps....

You can see the route in gmap. There is a road going from Lonavala on NH4. And please try avoiding posting back to back and try to club your posts using multiquote option !

Yeah man Jawhar is awesome in Monsoon. The roads are not that good but the scenic quotient of this route is very high. It was my first ride where I took the lead and went to then unknown destination. It was really exciting given the rains and terrains we encountered

Mehul, compare prices at both AH Helmets & Smart Designs, Wadala. Search the forum for number of Hemant Chheda owner of AH Helmets.

SUNDAY- 22/07/2012, Timings and Meeting point/s will be updated nearer the time
Route-
Going via NH3- MUMBAI-IGATPURI-JAWHAR-DHABOSA [195 kms]
Returning- DHABOSA- Dahanu Jawhar Road till Charoti Naka-NH8 to MUMBAI [155 kms]
Round trip = 350 kms approx

This place is a must visit in monsoon the main attraction being a 300 foot waterfall
