Sorry for the Late Reply.
yes we are with Madam's :P , few single boys too...
I have checked the status of MTDC resorts and they are full for the month of July
I don't know any other resorts/hotels.
Basically we have group with girls too. But all are couples . so we don't mind staying in a single Dormitory. It's Cheap,Safe and Fun!
Couple of trips we did the same thing. I don't know much about Bhandardhara.
I am also okay if we change the Directions.[Place]

It's very difficult to find accommodation in bhandardhara during monsoons.

Mtdc gets booked 6 months in advance.

You can opt for the limited no. of lodges/home stays available there but it's an uphill task literally

Hi Guys...I am Chinmaya from Navi Mumbai and have a new KTM Duke 200. I am running in my bike. Running in is a painful process. I have completed 600 KMs so far.

I am planning for a small ride this Saturday, may be towards Lonavala to complete running in..

Any body interested? At the moment count is 2, me and Abhay.

This is not Official XBHP ride, just a weekend breakfast ride.

chinmayakar : good to read about the run-in - lol yeah... run-in is a pain in the butt for all bikes... but i think w/ the duke u can be a lil liberal - the engine is a lot rider-forgiving & the rev-limiter also kicks in, in case u tend to go overboard - other duke owners may correct me if am wrong.

i read couple of threads where some of the folks ripped the duke right after taking the delivery & still didnt hurt the engine.

that being said i admit that *u r doing the right thing* - dont give a damn to what others do / rely on rev-limiter... the care u take of ur ride in the initial 3K kms defines how she will be w/ u, for years to come.

the run-in pace of a duke = my avenger's top speed as for the ride to lonavla, i wud have loved to tag along, had it not been a work-day for me.
sadly, i am not blessed w/ 5-day week culture

be advised that the monsoon has just set-in & the first week / fortnight of wet roads is the *worst* time for bikers due to the year long muck, grease, dirt, oil & what-not, forming a slippery paste, that gets accumulated on most all roads, till such time that the incessant showers wash it off the road for good.

u ride safe & be good & may the force be w/ u!

jai ho!

Thank Whymail for the advice. Yes, I rely on rev-limiter while running in. I try not to lug the engine, and yes, Dukes engine is quite amazing. I have to postpone the plan for Saturday ride, as I have some urgent unplanned work.

Is it ok, if we plan the ride for Sunday.....
