Sorry to butt in this way. But how do you guys remember the suburbs and the roads so precisely?! By day, I navigate by landmarks and the direction of the Sun. At night, by landmarks and some inbuilt compass. I am supposed to be from Pune but have never stayed in the city so know only some major roads. And if I have to go to some random "peth", I bribe my wife/sis with a full size Cadbury's Silk to do the job for me/else ride pillion while either of them goes crazy in the traffic.

I never ask a pedestrian for directions in Pune - "pudhchya chowkatun khali jawa, tya nantarchyahun war ghya mag nadi kadey" In Delhi, it is as per traffic signals - " Pehley teen signal chhodke (the meaning is "to pass by" and NOT to fornicate the three signals and the "teen" means three and not some hot TEEN hehe) seedhey haath uske baad ultey haath" (okayish) or by landmarks(best).

I have never stayed/commuted in Mumbai so would need a good map. Somehow, I can never remember the names of roads enough to to able navigate expertly by them. But know generally where they lead to. And you guys remember roads and suburbs and even when one suburb/road merges to the next road/suburb! Terrific.

We just remember the roads for 2-3 visits. After that the handle turns automatically towards the destination, even if you are woke up at 2-3 am by your family members to pick up your relative coming from bandra terminus. I guess that is an inbuilt quality of bikers, developed over a period of few years of riding, touring.

Baap re how many kms do u clock 1 way ?

One way used to be 43kms when I was at Kalwa... now it's come down to about 39

Area name is actually "swapna nagri" better known as cypress
While on LBS road behind jhonson and jhonson u will see a tower clearly visible with blue conical structure over it..once u reach there giv a call if ur nt able to locate
