Hi to all...been a long time not met with old pals, my last ride was to Hampi..DK where r u man..need ur presence atmost for the G2G.

I had been to Nashik n Shirdi yesterday. Started the trip on monday night and got back home on 26th night. The experience was nice overall as I was going to shirdi after some 4/5 years. Things have changed. Lot of security and everything feels like business there. Very little spiritual feeling. Anyways, not getting much into that. Why am mentioning this here is, THE ROADS.

Mann... most of the riders here know that am one of the BIGGEST fans(amongst the thousand others) of NH17 for it's quality and the twisties. And now am a big big fan of NH3. Not the entire road as it's still under construction and some patches are very very risky to ride in day time as well let aside at night. Unmarked diversions, no white strip etc etc. BUT the road close to Kasara gets beautiful and the Kasara ghat. Oh Boy.. it's a dream for every biker. AMAZING QUALITY..FLAT AND SMOOTH, TARMAC ROAD NO CEMENT SO EXCELLENT GRIP, ONE WAY TRAFFIC WHICH MEANS LESS RISKY, LONG LOOONG SWEEPING TURNS AND SOME TIGHT CORNERS... To add to it awesome vista alongside. It's just dream.. Perfect recipe for some knee down action. Besides there's not much traffic either. I loved the experience to the core.

Kasara ghat is around 127 kms from Mumbai so it's not that far as well. I haven't had enough of it so am heading to that ghat very soon. I wish we can have a g2g or a ride on that side someday. It's more or less Amby of the north side :P Think on it. Let's do it someday.

@Ketan - I agree but try riding on NH-3 after Dhule and your perception will change completely.I've never seen so many trucks plying on any section till date. It was like I just overtook 5-6 trucks and there were another 5-6 more and so on but the number of private vehicles that ply on that section is very less.

Quite true.. I have never travelled on NH3 beyond Nashik. In fact, I've rarely travelled in the northern direction so not much aware but yes, I've heard what you saying.

Even the road from Sinnar to Shirdi is not so good. Road is narrow and there's hardly any respect to two wheelers by the local tourist vehicles and ST bus drivers Lot of off roading guaranteed

@Ketan-One image for reference. This is one of the toll booths on NH-3. Just try to count the number of trucks on either side.Ok I will help you there are more than 500 on either side and jam is around a km long.

Fortunately we didn't face such a jam during our trip but I frequently read in newspapers that Kasara ghat is famous for 8-8, 9-9 hour traffic jams due to 16 wheeler's accidents n what all.. I dont know if that's the case even now. Kasara ghat, especially towards Mumbai was wide n clear.. almost 3 lanes wide.

But that pic looks horrific..

Infact 100 Kms before Dhule and 100-150 kms after Dhule..you will get heavy traffic.Road condition is also not that good.In most of the part work is going on.So you have to shift to left lane and then right lane every now and then.

btw was goin thru previous pages... ketan mention bout rajkiran hotel... the room number is 203... my guys did shoot some docuemtnary there.... .it IS spooky... after that i do believe in supernatural powers . . .. that place is insane......

we guys short a short movie on that.... not very acurate detailing but the concpet remained the same... plus any1 wanting to go to rajkiran... one suggestion... DO NOT!

Might be a good idea to share that documentary with us, we can do our own Paranormal Activity India version!

Yes that picture is actually taken beyond Dhule towards MP.And I had to traverse that jam.

Yup just outside Dhule a bridge is being constructed and you are treated with a km long jam.

@Shadowboy-Good to see everyone is coming for the G2G. I guess 6.30a.m at Panvel McDees is perfect.
