Ride to Tarkarli & Goa

Ride to Tarkarli & Goa
Dates: 18th - 22nd April [Wed - Sun]

Guys, we are planning to ride to Tarkarli and Goa and anyone else willing to join us, can update confirmation here on this thread

Day 1: Thane - Ganpati Phule - Tarkarli Beach via NH17
Distance: 510 kms
See Ganpatipule temple, have lunch at Ganpatipule, reach Tarkarli by sunset.

Day 2: Tarkarli
Go for Dolphin spotting, snorkelling, Sindhudurg fort, rock garden to be seen during sunset.

Day 3: Tarkarli - Calangute Beach, Goa
Distance: 100 kms
Panjim Old goa churches & museums, Mangeshi temple Dona Paula,Vagator beach, carnival boat rides from Panjim (@ Miramar Beach)

Day 4: South Goa
Distance: 80kms
Vasco port, Colva, Agonda on the way Cabo de rama fort,

Day 5: Return Journey till Thane via NH4 or NH17
Distance: 630 kms

I always wanted to visited Konkan side and end up being in Goa. Finally it's time!
Last time I was in Goa was in New Year's with fellow Xbhpians sleeping over a tomato juice

Planning for an solo ride on 7th and 8th April. Please provide tips / suggestions as this will be my 1st solo ride for 350+kms

Any ideas about below alternate routes ???

1. Mumbai>Pune>Karad>Malkapur>Sakharpa>Ganpatipule.

2. Mumbai-Pune-Umbraj (just after Satara)- Kumbharli Ghat-Chiplun-Nivali Naka-Ganpatipule.

Saturday I will be leaving for pune for some work at noon/evening..
Lavasa is best enjoyed in the early mornings.. So plan your trip accordingly. Sunday its typically chocked with a lot of SBKer and Corner carvers and things could get tricky if you have an inflated ego and deflated skills

Also dont go near the dam, if caught there is a fine of Rs2000, Expect 5-0 to patrol lavasa roads...

Fine coz its dangerous to go near the dam especially when the top part is still in construction mode... They have added walls to prevent trespassers but still dont wander there...

5-0 means cops!!!
