No................I wandered off into rural areas........on the contrary

A most beautiful Sunday.......

It all began with the idea to have a visit to the Suzuki workshop located in Chinsurah, Hooghly.I generally use train to travel whenever I am in quick need of supplying myself with spares.But this time I felt, why not ride to the destination which concerns my bike.

Hence I started off with a different flair.........I put on just my helmet,got some tools in my bag.....no raincoat......my spares list,my phone and rode off

yeah its similar to getting out of bed, toilet,brushing,bathing and then into out door clothes without shaving.

No fear of waterlogging in unknown areas or wet roads and its perils........I simply rode-off through a road which winds through small towns and rural areas and it is called the GT road.I just wanted to have a feel of the route used through centuries before the spanking new National Highways came up.

So even after getting my requirements from the SVC within an hour........I wandered off into cool,lush,rural greenery and traveled through villages in and around Burdwan.

Started 9.30am in morning without breakfast and returned 6.00 pm in the evening without tea..........did not have any food or drink on the way....
I was just amazed, the way wanderlust and a ride on a beautiful motorcycle kills hunger.

Despite all the uncertainty of where I am going and why I am going and regardless of the time and my natural requirements.......I kept roaming, at one time feeling, I won't stop till I find hills or the sea.But the very thought of meeting a Monday,the very next day,kept me from getting lost.

I really had all the fun myself today..........riding alone through unknown villages,small towns and locality has a fun of itself.....the rains sets the moods right to observe simple humans and their emotions,all unknown.
The world seems a new place, only more beautiful.

It was great to ride free today, getting drenched today and getting lost in rains today

I love my bike and the biker side of mine.........it is just the medicine that keeps me moving amid the war called life

Hey Suddhatma, i was there too except i had to divert from Baidyabati to go towards Durgapur expressway towards Singur for official work... i too enjoyed being there on the highway with an office staff...

Hi Guys,

Though I am now in Xbhp, but I am really glad to see so many riders and the passion and love for riding along with the sense of brotherhood in you all.

I ride a RE Electra 350 (1991) and a RE STD 350 (1974), is it possible to be a part of your rides. I saw couples of Thumpers in the pics.

Please lemme know, would be glad to ride with you all.

Thumpers do not join us a lot.....but at the same time that is the reason why I miss thumpers among us way too much

Also, you said, you have a classic Enfields 350 std.........so how is your 1974 one ???
Any plans on selling it ???

Kolkata XBHPians, this is Kishore here.. even though i was following this thread for long time since last year Independence day ride, was not able to attend any G2g's as i did not have a bike in Kolkata.. Now i have got a CBR .. eagerly waiting to meet you guys...
