        • Hi guys,

Would like to take part in the ride to horsley hills on Aug 14-15. This would be my first long ride with xbhp members. Was looking for something interesting to do during that weekend since my wife would be at her parents' place, and horsley is one place which I have not seen yet.

I have gone on quite a few distance rides in the past year. My maximum ride has been a trip to Trichy (350kms) and back. Apart from this, have covered elagiri, vellore, sholingar, tiruannamalai, pondy on bike, all with wife . Have started to love touring, and look fwd to riding in a group with all u more experienced riders too.

Would like to attend this sunday G2G so that I can meet up with u all and also get a feel of how group riding works. Whom can i co-ordinate with for the same ? @Sriram ? Can I have ur cell no pls - maybe someone can PM me..

          Thanks
          Srinivas

It is good to have an end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters in the end.

              @sunnyside :
kindly bring to my notice "several pictures"which are incorrect.
i own the BREEZER 1st gen and i have marked the armours as they have come with my jacket. which cramster do you own? the armours that i have marked as cramster are from the 1st gen BREEZER.if you are using other jacket the armour may be different and that 's why I specifically mentioned BREEZER 1st gen. i have crossed checked it multiple times and there is absolutely no error as far as marking is concerned.

I have about 30,000 km of experience with the cramster and DSG jackets and i know inside out of the jacket i use and that's why i refrained from comparing JK 17 with other cramster jacket or other DSG jacket. I HAVE COMPARED IT WITH BREEZER 1ST GEN AND DSG SPIKEthere has been no error in listing the facts .These are my personal experience and your experience may be different. but that doesnt give you the right to term others observation as incorrect.

for eg: After using the Breezer i wrote to Keerti to incorporate a 3rd snap button on the forearm for better adjustment and snug fitting of the elbow protector, coz i found the armour very loose fitting .so my friend and I decided to test the armour by hitting it with small toy punching bags we found that with each hit the armour would dislodge from its place which means that the moment the armour is dragged on the ground it will move away leaving the elbow exposed. however my observation was dismissed as merely a speculation. and when i crashed at some 35 kmph the cordura on the arm panel of Breezer got torn, and the elbow protector slipped off from its position leaving my elbow exposed and a lot of abrasion on my elbow as well. after this incident i have attached the 3rd snap button on the Breezer and a forearm band on DSG for keeping the armour in place. point is the manufacturers and so called experts can claim a lot of things but you can never ignore the feedback of the end users who put these products to use day in day out.

the alpinestar reflex Knee guard i got from DSG has Made in China label.

              @ burnrubbernotursoul -

My friend, what I posted I know to be true - the armors marked in the pictures shown as 'DSG' actually closely resemble the 2nd Gen Cramster which I own - hence my scepticism.

My comments were in no way directed at you in particular since I don't even know you. I merely shared my opinion with my friends amongst the Chennai group. If you read my whole post, you might realise that the intended message was that everyone should make their own judgements and evaluations. To them I still say that I can show you the armours on my jacket anytime!!

If I wanted to publicly repudiate or denounce your claims which I grant may have been made with the best intentions, I would have engaged you in the thread that you had posted itself. In any case, if I have offended or hurt you please accept that its was never my intention and for that I humbly apologise.

That said, @ Felix and my other friends allow me to just say : "Caveat Emptor".

              • ^ agreed, that one was not meant at you either. Hope there is nothing offensive guys! Just a hope that whatever has been said here are on the lines constructive criticism.

@ sunil: Thanks for clarifying i thought you meant a major screwup when you told us there was a mistake in the pictures, Phew! Maybe the DSG and 2nd Gen cramster have the same type of armours But then again a mix up between Cramster and DSG Vs the Scoyco jacket still means Scoyco is better, right?

@all : Sorry if something was offensive in Vivek's Post. I'd Invited him here and If my mate, Sunil or Vivek or anyone else found something Offensive, I apologise and would like to make it clear that the posts from both ends were made in the larger interest of US, the consumers. Hope there are no more Misunderstandings or offensive/Apprehensive postings here.

I'd like to remind you all, that like you, I'm also buying the jacket with safety on my mind. I'd never, ever go for substandard Jugaads or Makeshift safety equipment, when it concerns me or my fellow riders. But at the end of the day, It is upto to you,to make a move on the jacket.

As Sunil put it : Caveat Emptor

                Peace!
