Yercaud is about 425km ride via Salem - hardly short when you consider 850kms round trip. But very do-able depending on the condition of your bike and your own riding skills and endurance. If you haven't done long distances before, start with Yelagiri instead.

I don't think an open ended question like that can be answered since its entirely dependent on individual perspective.

I will try to show up for the meets and wish to make more friends at xbhp. Sorry if my post was impoloite.

Saw this post and was surprised - I didn't recollect seeing any posts from you before and so I checked to find that you've posted on this thread just once before - sometime in September! There are many newbies who joined in for rides and G2G's before and since then, so if you've felt ignored it was neither intended nor implied.

If you really want to be part of the offline activity, I'd suggest you participate - both online and offline by showing up for rides and meets. This is not a club or a for-profit thing - its about a bunch of guys who love bikes and riding and if you're really passionate about something, you'd just show up - just like the rest of us do.

Keep an eye on this thread for activities/rides to join. Many oF us ride quite regularly but will not encourage newbies to join in for long distance rides without knowing them first from meets or short rides held earlier, so instead of feeling left out, LAND UP and join the party! Many seasoned riders like Sriram Efunds and Bikerfas go out of their way to encourage and nurture newbies - pm them or me to get in touch!

Its a surprise!!! the forum has been always open and to my knowledge in the past few months we had meet-up with lot of new joinees during our G2G's - dont know how you were missed/ you missed to attend the G2G's. Whenever a new member joins in we would be requesting them to give their in the intro section and ask them to keep a watch on this Thread for the meet-ups and Ride discussion.

Seems like somewhere you missed the updates on G2G's. We try to put the G2G details atleast a day before and provide all the information of the Place and time. So Just keep track of the discussions happening and land up for G2G's

Thanks much bikerfas, Only after a long search I was able to find such thread and when I made my first post it was unnoticed. To be frank only sometime back I managed to find the subscribe option. I will be glued to this thread and will make up for any future meet. Thanks again.

What a way to make an entry to this thread apart from sept post as said before. From september till recently there were many G2Gs organized and there were information posted well advanced.
Being part of the group is something starts with you and ends with you. No one is obligated.
