Ananth will dig deep and come up with a plan and then things can be put in place. First, need to know if this happens who all will be interested ? Lets not get in too much details as idea is very rough. I just need a heads up so that we can plan around it. Heard there is indimotor track day coming which might be a good time to hit the race track. So please let me know if you are interested.
Those who has a full suit can ride but others might need atleast a riding pant to please Mr.Loganathan... Check with him on the attire rules..

      • Good good... I'm in!
But, I don't have the full suit with me. So, I'll be able to join if and only if:-
        1. A riding jacket + helmet + gloves + knee guards are allowed.
        2. If not riding, people can join in as photographers.

Waiting for Ananth bhai to give some info on the same.
        Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

        • A Sunday spent well

Had few plans on Saturday and nothing worked out, ultimately completed two movies. By evening was low that I had done nothing till now.
Late evening got a thought, why not javadhu hills tomorrow...... I remember reading about a Trail that CTC people have done about an year ago, searched for it and tried to figure it out through google maps.

Informed few about the ride plan mentioning that I do not the route perfectly, my room mate(rides Apache) and two other were tentatively.

After spending time on gmaps finalized the route: Thiruvanmiyur, odiyur, Cheyyur, polur, Jamnamarathur, puliyur, chengam, polur, cheyyur, odiyur, Thiruvanmiyur
          Route plan
Though, as per gmaps, road ends beyond puliyur but it actually goes till chengam.

          Some pics during the ride:
Nice cool spot at the beginning of hills

          Nice curvy black tarmac

Hills all around(small stretch of kacha road after jamnamarathur)

          cool.. green

          A small de-tour off-tarmac

          Almost done

After getting down, asked people about route to polur and they guided me, skipping chengam, to some babies-butt-smooth road to it. Higher capacity bikes will love it.

After crossing polur saw loads of sugar cane moving towards a sugar factory that reminded me of childhood days. Somewhere beyond chetpet a load was getting ready, stopped the bike and asked in my super fluent tamil could utter only "yevlo"(how much) and they generously offered me three large ones. I was trying to figure out to take it and one 50/60 year old muscle man came and made each cane into three smaller ones with his bare hands, which I could easily carry in my string backpack.

          some stats:

          Started from Thiruvanmiyur at 05:00
Reached Jamnamarathur by 10:00, had parotta at a bhai's shop
          Around 10:30 started towards Puliyur
          Reached Thiruvanmiyur ~16:30
          Total distance covered ~530 Km

Last time I went to the track, this is what the officials there informed me. If you are to share the track with the rest by paying Rs400 for the half a day session per bike ( similar to the track day G2G we had in 2009 ) then you need to be in full suit.

But if you rent the track for yourself then you can ride in denims + knee gurads of course with other gears on!

                  • Chill down Guys!!!

guys guys, hold your horses. Its still in planning phase. I am sure it won't be as difficult as it sounds, also there is possibility of renting a riding suit so all doors are not shut. Ananth is trying hard to get all the info and set things right. Ananth - you can also find few more info from your resource like
                    1. How much rent for a riding suit ?
                    2. How much to rent a whole track ?

There are few more things which need to be arranged like Drinking water , cool drinks and food at the venue. Once I have the accurate info, we can go ahead and get the head counted.
