Regret to announce the passing away of Sean Saldanha in a road accident on Saturday near Krishnagiri. I cannot believe he is gone - met and spoke to him on Friday evening just hours before his fateful trip to Bangalore.

Don't have the particulars except he was riding Arul Futnani's CBR250 when he went missing. Arul backtracked a few kilometers after not seeing Sean in his mirrors and found the crashed bike and barely alive Sean on the median. Despite concerted efforts from biker buddies from Trichy, Bangalore and Hosur, who rushed to his aid, dropping everything else, he could not be revived and passed away in the ambulance on the way to hospital. The only child of his parents and an all-round cheerful bloke, he will be sorely missed.

I'm posting this here even though he was not a member of XBhp to remind all of you that the hobby and sport we love so much is dangerous at best - please, please keep your wits about you when riding and please,please ride safe. I have lost too many friends already this year and cannot bear the thought of any more.

This is the second incidence I'm hearing since yesterday; Did all this happen while he was wearing protective gears? News like these, that too early in the morning, makes me feel low May God bless his soul to rest in peace.

^ Very sad to to hear the news. Everytime i hear anything about any accident, shakes me up. Makes me think whether the biking is safe for me or not.

Guys please ride safe. Hope his soul RIP.

Sorry to hear about the loss. Biking is inherently dangerous activity & requires all the attention & calmness.

I have lost quite a few friends, friends of friends, extended family members etc. Truth is, there is always this void that can never be filled. It shatters the lives of the loved ones who survive. Let us all remember our loved ones who wait for us at home, when we hit the road. And also, remember to watch out for those who do not care about their loved ones and are on some sort of a suicide mission.
