Congratulations. Any specific reason for Swift & not Figo, Punto or Polo?

I think the answer is simple:- My Dream car from my school days and also Ganesh I feel when it comes to service Maruthi outclass others.Initially I went for i20 sports but later concern about maintenance cost etc so I changed my mind back to swift.

Weekend Ride - SATURDAY 26th May

Ananth and myself planning to do Javadi hills coming Saturday and not Sunday. It's going to be a repeat of Jaffer's recent visit. We planning to start around 5 AM on Saturday and starting point will be Madhya Kailash junction. Need to start early guys. If interested, join us and full riding gear is MUST. It's advisible to take water bottle and few snacks.

Last time I went to the track, this is what the officials there informed me. If you are to share the track with the rest by paying Rs400 for the half a day session per bike ( similar to the track day G2G we had in 2009 ) then you need to be in full suit.

But if you rent the track for yourself then you can ride in denims + knee gurads of course with other gears on!

Renting a track = Rupees 1.5 Lacs+ per day

Loganathan is OK with two piece riding gear, but not the manager (not sure who, but the MMSC office in general prefers riding suit) - Lets see how it goes.

Ananth - you can also find few more info from your resource like
1. How much rent for a riding suit ?
2. How much to rent a whole track ?

1. 2500 Rs (heard it during the CSS Track day)
2. 1,50,000 Rs per Day

The details about the availability of track would be posted tomorrow - Will check with them once the details are published.

Didnt come across any wildlife on hills. However did come across a snake; once I got down the hills and was asking for polur route, a local suggested a shortcut through farms, road was hardly 5ft wide and this snake was crossing the road from one field to another. If stopped the bike, I'd have stopped exactly in-front of it, so just rushed moving legs to handle level.

Late evening got a thought, why not javadhu hills tomorrow...... I remember reading about a Trail that CTC people have done about an year ago, searched for it and tried to figure it out through google maps.

I won't be able to join in as I'm out of town - but I will remember you guys while chugging frosty beers in Bangalore!

But seriously, we need to plan a long ride ( by long I mean a real one week on the road ) sometime when the weather is better. I'm thinking sometime in winter ( or at least what passes for winter in India ). A week-long sojourn with some buddies on the road seems just what the doctor ordered!! The last ride down South was pleasurable but steaming - so I'm thinking would be nice to do something similar in cooler weather.

We'll make a plan as you mentioned. Yes, last South ride was fun with the group. We have options from Kerala, Karnataka, Maharastra, Goa to devise a week long ride plan.
