I think there is some communicatio gap/misunderstanding with regards to weekend ride. I believe it was Dinesh who said would come up with some place if I'm correct. Dinesh,are you reading this?

I wasn't successful in identifying a new place where we haven't rode yet .

so if you have any idea for the place to ride - we can do a sunday Morning ride... Am Game for it !! Seems like the weather also will be good !

Seems like the Tindivanam - Marakkanam Road has lot of Lakes and i see a big one --Kaliveli lake in google maps... anybody did that route...

The smaller lakes will be dry, there is hardly any rain around and i guess what we would see is just dry lake bed.. Even our pulicat was too dry when compared to the last time i visited it.

But, we can give it a shot - If we can spend 2 days in Mypadu, why not here

We might be doing Moolakona also. Some information about it available here and tentative route here. It has about 3-5 kms of off-road path.

As its through Bangalore highway, we will be meeting at Chennai Trade Center.

Bring a towel and extra underwear as we will be taking a dip in the pool there.

Wonderful - Sunday Morning Ride !!

It was a one of a kind experience after a long time. To make it short and sweet !

Sunday well Spent - Started for Casual Morning Ride by 5 am from home --- Reached CTC - Jafar and Sriram Reached - Started the ride - Crossed Thiruvallur - Roads were under construction - big time riding in traffic and dust -- Reached Puttur, had breakfast - Checked the route for Moolakona - rode through the Village road - Village road ends and the off-road starts - forest roads - Pebbles - stones - boulders - water - Reached Moolakona. Its a small Temple pond where the water from the hills are collected - even though its a 4km no road to reach this place - we still found this place is abused. I wasn't prepared for a dip, sriram who came prepared - decided against it and Jafar jumped in - spent some half hour or so - returned back to bikes, started our ride back - Stopped for Photo shoot - Stopped for photo shoot - stopped for photo shoot - Stopped for a break - 1 litre thumps up, biscuits, coffee - refreshed us - started again - reached poondi - relaxed a while - while Jafar and Sriram started back to chennai - i went to catch-up with my schoolmate at Thiruvallur and spent some time and rode back to home !! Day well spent !

Beautiful Pictures Dinesh. Very Sorry that i could not make it to the meet, Bike's grounded for next few weeks as well.

I'm out of the rides planned till September 1, due to some personal commitments. I will update any updates regarding the Meghamalai ride by Second Week of August, and would "PM" or "Email" the list of members who will be part of the ride at a later point of time.
