Guys, I feel happy to announce that we have just started a thread to discuss ISG2G 2013 meet. This time we as in Tamil Nadu will be hosting and the venue will is Kodaikkanal. It's still long way that goes into planning. We are looking at sometime in August and again this will be further discussed in the thread.

This week I gave my bike SS 125 for free service in Bikers Yamaha Chrompet show room.
They have charge me like this.
Engine oil change – 305
Chain lubrication- 180
Consumables- 35
So total charges came around 520 Rs.

I am new to these things please help me, so this is how they charge normally or the cost is too high?

Everything is perfect bro!! Except the chain lubrication part. I dunno whether they lubricate for your bike ane btw chromepet bikerz do a pretty good job. Will attend to every complain you give. My fav SVC

These two are day robbery!! Learn how to lube your chain & it will only cost Rs 75 to lube (just lube) with the most expensive chain lube Motul if used very liberally; cleaning is additional, I hope they didn't clean & just lubed

Consumables are Rs 25 in Honda showroom for CBR 250R

Not sure if everyoneknows this. This is one of the ways how they scam you at the Petrol pumps,especially if you tell them to fill your tank and this I've observed mostly fortwo-wheelers

1. The attendant fills it for Rs. 100 and when you tell him you want a full tank, he acts surprised and then goes on to fill the tank.

1. They'll act as if he's pressing a button or something on the pump, the guy who collects the money will try to distract you while the guy pumping does this.

1. If you don't watch the meter, it wouldn't start from 0 but from Rs. 100.

1. You'll be charged for 100+ the rest.

This happened to metoday at the BP Pump near Fortis Malar. I had asked him to fill my Duke's tank.He nonchalantly asks me while filling how much I wanted to fill in. When I tellhim full tank, he says he has done it for Rs. 100 only. Before I realized whatwas happening, he has started the second round and the cash collection guytried to distract me. Since I have the habit of calculating my mileage on eachtank full, I was more keen to look at the meter. The meter runs and it runsfrom where it left off, though the attendant pressed some buttons, the meternever reset. So finally the amount was for Rs. 500.18 for 7.59 liters. I wasmentally calculating my mileage and handed over my card to the collection guywho swipes it for 600. I tell them only 500 was filled, he retorts that it's100+500 a total of 600. I informed him that it wasn't the case and the meternever reset. The guy who pumped it comes to me and asks me as if he wasn'taware, "oh, the meter never reset ? Really ? ". They give me Rs. 100cash back and walk away. Interestingly, they didn't make a scene or a fuss, Istood there for sometime, to give them an opportunity and to see if they willtry to correct me. Nothing happened, they went about their business and Istarted home thinking how many guys they would have cheated with this ploy.

BTW, if it was Rs.600 that's 9.1 liters, my tank would have overflowed, I hadn't hit reserve onmy Duke which has a total capacity of 10 liters and the reserve holds about 1.5liters in itself. So max to max most of my full tank will be only Rs. 500 to 530range. Rarely had it crossed Rs. 550, next time you want to con someone, pick abike with a bigger fuel tank.

Did the Jawadhu hills roundabout today morning. Credits to Jaffar bro for finding this place. Excellent scenery and good roads(mostly). But the narrow roads were challenging too.
